Starting Out
The stars full name is Zachary David Alexander Efron. He came into the world on October 18, 1987, in San Luis Obispo California. later on his, the family moved to Arroyo Grande California his mom Starla Baskett worked as a secretary at the power plant station. That his father David Ephron was also employed.
Zak has a brother named Dylan during an interview with the star. After becoming widely recognized Efron noted that his upbringing was pretty average. Stating I lived a normal childhood in a middle-class family. When I was younger I didn’t even know this business existed according to an article in Bhatt magazine.
He also said he freaked out if he ever got something lower than an eighth grade. He added that he was a funny man in school. Efron stated I have to admit I was kind of a class clown. If I got along with the teacher there was no end to my telling jokes or making people laugh in class.
In the same interview with the star, he recalled I was 18 before it became a business with me. I wasn’t a hot commodity I was a regular dude I had to chase chicks they didn’t chase me. Efron added hey if it can happen to me then man it can happen to anybody.
Childhood Plays
Despite his most typical childhood Efron began his career in entertainment at a fairly young age. His father was the one who encouraged him to participate in school plays. Which led to his current fame.
Zac was just 11 years old when his dad steered him toward acting. He often appeared in theater performances during his high school career Efron also worked at the great American melodrama theater. He took singing lessons as well some of the plays I acted in where Peter Pan
, Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man, and gypsy.
During an interview with MTV, later on, he recognized gypsy as his first audition. Stating my mom asked me if I wanted to audition for the musical theater because I was always singing and dancing around the house. They were pretty annoyed by it at this time. So she asked if I wanted to go to Toys R Us or somewhere one day little did I know it was a trick. She dropped me off at this audition I ran around in a news cap and sold newspapers. I got the part I didn’t even get to go to Toys R Us after
American Idol
American Idol fan something you might not have to guess about the star is, he was a big fan of American Idol back in the 2000s. He told MTV that he likes the show because it deals with regular people who have a dream and like to perform. Efron added that he admires a contestant
because they go from zero to 60 in a matter of days.
They handle it like champs. He also noted that he couldn’t have dealt with the pressure state. I couldn’t have done that go to the peak of your fame within a month of starting and to be able to handle that kind of pressure I don’t envy them.
Zack said that he used to attend the American Idol shows fairly often and went almost every week. When Taylor Hicks was competing he also stated that the shows are very different live. you get to see who is a good singer and who can captivate a crowd. Zack also told MTV I tend to agree with Simon most of the time. But my favorite judge just because I know her is Paula she’s a real sweetheart
Punk’d
You probably all remember growing up watching Ashton Kutcher celebrity prank show Punk’d. But did you know that as a calf rom was on it twice that’s right the star’s friend decided to play a couple of jokes on him in 2008 and 2012.
The first time around Ashley Tisdale his co-star from High School Musical was the prankster during the episode. Tisdale takes Zack shopping for some clothes. He is tricked into thinking two guys walked in and stole the store’s cash box. However, they turned it around on him for letting the men into the store, to begin with. The segment ends after the person playing the manager presents Zach with a shirt bejeweled with the show’s title.
The second time he made it on the show Hayden Panettiere was the trickster. She set him up so that he’d be blamed for a hit and run the situation was high intensity. There were several police officers on the scene. However, Hayden ran out in the nick of time to let Zach know that he’d just been Punk’d
Number Change
After the first high school musical came out teenage girls everywhere were swooning over Zac Efron. He went from being virtually unnoticed to being photographed by paparazzi at every opportunity within a short time.
Unfortunately, he didn’t think ahead about changing his phone number so that it was no longer in the phone book after his popularity increased. His family’s number was leaked. Efron stated to the Tribune in 2006 that somehow our phone number got out online and it got really bad. we were getting calls in wee hours of the morning. He ended up having to change phone numbers completely
Jaw Injury
we already talked about Zacks appendix removal but he’s had more medical problems than that throughout his life. he also broke his jaw in late 2013. He told Us Weekly in January 2014 about the incident stating I was running through my house and I slipped and fell on my face.
He added I have a fountain in my house that’s kind of dope right. So I was running through and slipped on the water and hit my chin on the fountain in the house it’s not a big fountain but it’s a fountain in my house. He continued the story noting that his little brother was present at the time so he got to the hospital right away. Efron needed his jaw wired shut and said it was pretty gnarly. He had to live off a liquid diet at this time and lost about 12 pounds after six weeks
Tom Cruise
another surprising fact about Zac Efron that you might not know is it who taught him how to ride a motorcycle. He might not have guessed that it was Tom Cruise in late 2011. Zack stated we were at a party and he says hey Man do you ride motorcycles after his a conformed cruise that he wasn’t a motorcyclist. He invited the young actor over to his house to learn. He added I hung out with Tom the next day and he sat there for two hours and showed me how to ride a motorcycle. It’s just a testament of the kind of guy he is
Rehab
As we said before life for this actor hasn’t always been rainbows and butterflies. Which was certainly the case when he checked himself into rehab in 2013. Zach was struggling with alcohol and substance abuse. He opened up about everything during his episode of running wild with Bear Grylls.
He explained that the closed media attention regarding his personal life had a serious effect on him. Stating the challenging part was never the work it was sort of the in-between work. The social aspects outside of it I mean everywhere you go to a certain extent there is press in some form.
He added whether you’re going to an event if you’re leaving your house to go to the grocery store there will be press there. It can be everywhere and it can be confusing you spend a lot of time in your house going crazy. You need a social lubricant and once I needed that it became to go anywhere.
He further noted after his rehabilitation I’m in the best place I’ve ever been I’ve never been this happy before things are good. Zach has been sober since June of that year
Girlfriends
Although Zac Efron is nearly always in the limelight there’s a chance you haven’t heard much about these stars love life. So let’s go through the timeline of SAC Efron’s past and possibly current relationships. Once upon a time, he was head over heels for his high school musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens. They began dating around the time the film was released and stayed together for about four years the duo announced their breakup in December 2010. let fans know they were still friends
Efron dated Lily Collins as well an actress known for her roles in abduction, love rosy, and The Mortal Instruments City of Bones. They only dated on and off for a year in the early 2010s.
Zak’s third, now ex is Houston sage his co-star from neighbors they never confirmed the relationship but they were seen several times together outside of the film. Sammy Mero a model dated the actor in 2014 but they split up in April 2016.
Currently, there are speculations over amounts between Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario his Baywatch co-star. People said the two have been on again off again since 2017 but haven’t made things official. Daddario said we work together closely he’s my love interest in the film I understand why people will go crazy over something like that but Zack and I are very good friends. But they were seen together in March 2018 walking their dogs and looking cozy. TMZ said they certainly look like a couple.
Zack even posted a heartfelt birthday message on his Instagram account under a picture of Alexandra sitting on his lap that reads.
