Expert Reviews for Alienware M15:
By TechSpot
The Alienware m15 is a great step forward for the company, but it ultimately doesn’t get our recommendation. It’s hard to create the perfect portable system on the first attempt, and many competitors have simply been doing this for longer and have more refined, better options today that you should consider instead.By TechRadar
The Alienware m15 OLED offers undeniable performance in a package that avoids the pitfalls of many gaming laptops: egregious size. It’s slim and light enough to go into an average backpack, but it’s potent enough to work hard and play hard. Throw in a…By PCWorld
Alienware’s m15 is in a weird place, sandbagged by an upcoming redesign and underwhelming RTX 2070 Max-Q performance, but the OLED display will win you over.By mensxp.com
Alienware took its time to come up with a ‘thin and light’ gaming laptop, but I’d say that it has hit the sweet spot. The m15 is equal parts flashy and powerful. Despite being different from the other Alienware laptops, the m15 has managed to retain…By Digit
The Alienware m15 performs precisely in line with our expectations, that is, excellent frame rates while gaming and short render times in both Lightroom and Premiere Pro. Where it falters is in poor thermals, with the WASD keys getting as hot as 46…

With products like the G7 15 (2018) laptop, it’s clear that Dell wants gamers to know them for more than just monitors and Alienware. Pegged for wallet-friendly territory, this gaming notebook manages to pack plenty of performance and value in a slim…By beebom.com
With a price tag of ₹1,32,390, the Dell G7 15 is arguably the most affordable Core i9 gaming laptops in India. It is powerful enough to run games such as PUBG and Fortnite at high settings, and it scores good marks for having a visually pleasing design,…By PCWorld
Armed with a screamingly fast hex-core CPU and a reasonably robust graphics card, the Dell G7 15 packs an impressive amount of processing and gaming power into a shell that’s less than an inch thick.
DESIGN
Alienware M15:
I actually love the design of this laptop now it’s obviously not for everyone it’s gonna be a look that some people like some people don’t but for me personally. I love what they’ve tried to do and they’ve executed it really well if there’s any device out there that looks like aliens would actually use it it would probably be this one okay so the screen this one’s running a 60 Hertz OLED panel they also have a 240 Hertz IPS panel just open recommendation if you’re going to buy this laptop unless you actually have a distinct and clear use for a OLED panel.
Dell G7:
For the design is pretty familiar, compared to last year’s inspir in line for the biggest difference this years you get a nice Alpine white with blue accent colors now depending on the light and the angle that you’re looking at it looks blue but if you get really close to it it also shines purple the same thing with the deck you have a black deck with blue accents surrounding the device. I like this this is a nice change from the typical black and red laptops.
WEIGHT & DIMENSIONS
Alienware M15:
The weight of this laptop is nearly at 4.8 pounds, dimension are 14.3 x 10.8 x 0.7-0.8-inches the m15 is the slimmest Alienware laptop ever.
Dell G7:
G7 is on the heavier side of the spectrum where the weight is 6.3 pounds, dimensions are 15.3 x 10.8 x 0.9-inch However, it’s slimmer than its competition with the other laptops.
KEYBOARD AND TOUCHPAD
Alienware M15:
For the keyboard, I gotta say best gaming keyboard I’ve used ever like when, I first pick this up it just felt quite different from every other gaming laptop keyboard it’s very responsive like you actually have to put quite a bit of pressure to tap each key down and does take a little bit of time to get used to but once you do get used to it it’s just like you’re gonna enjoy it it’s complicated and it needs multiple downloads to get everything set up but once you do set it up you can customize.
Dell G7:
The keyboard is full-size, I love the fact that a numeric keypad there in case you need to crunch some numbers but in terms of typing and gaming. I do find the Helios 300 annalen / y5 30 have a better gaming keyboard – game on now this one’s not terrible it just feels like an XPS 15 keyboard with slightly more travel distance touchpad nice and big lots of space to move around is using Windows precision drivers and it’s not bad for a gaming laptop.
PORT SELECTION
Alienware M15:
For the port selection is good you have a bunch in the back of your AC adapter display outputs then well three as well as your kind of graphics amp if you have one of those external, Alienware things you have three use bas and an E and as I hold this thing around isjust like it’s cool it’s cool that alien were finally made something that was legitimately thin and legitimately powerful however there’s always a however with Alienware devices
Dell G7:
Dell G7 on the left-hand side you have your Nova lock a barrel connector an rj45 Ethernet port a USB 3.0 port and a full size SD card slot on the right hand side you have a full size HDMI port two more USB 3.0 ports an audio jack and a USB type-c Thunderbolt three port.
DISPLAY
Alienware M15:
For the display it’s a very nice looking display area and I think this is one of the best looking Illinois devices we’ve seen to date so down here we have. I think it’s a software thing I really hope it’s not a hardware issue but when you scroll there’s like a very distinct lag or just stutter to the scroll and it’s something that I think they should fix pretty quickly the overall inputs though, I like a lot and the kind of surface material you have on.
Dell G7:
The display is 15 inches it’s IPs its matte and it’s 60 Hertz if you want to use this for content creation you’re gonna have to look at other laptops or hook it up to an external monitor the color accuracy and brightness of this panel is just not that great it’s fine for gaming but it’s not great for content creation also there’s, two different panels going around you might get lucky and get the auo version or you might get the LG version, in terms of color accuracy it’s pretty much on par it’s just if you get the auo version you can overclock it to 144 Hertz now if you do do this just note if anything goes wrong.
BATTERY
Alienware M15:
For almost where the 4 hour battery nothing crazy you’ll definitely need the AC adapter if you plan on bring this to classes and stuff and the speakers are located on the side they sound pretty good but the positioning is not ideal.
Dell G7:
RAM which can be configured up to 32 gigabytes and you have a 56 watt hour battery which will give you better battery life than the Lenovo y50 Acer predator Helios 300 I was getting about four and a half to five hours of use before needing to charge and that’s the battery size is bigger than the two.
PERFORMANCE
Alienware M15:
For the performance otherwise is fantastic this thing is running an i7 Arctic 2070 max Q you’re getting great frame rates in games and the fans aren’t particularly loud is just that, I really would have liked have seen a factory under volt so there’s absolutely no trace of thermal throttling at all if you remove the back lid you have access to the internals but the motherboard is flipped so even if you wanted to repay sitting it’s a much more difficult device to do it on.
Dell G7:
For the performance which is fantastic on this laptop, it’s using the new 8th gen I 78758 processors these are 6 core processors which are capable of doing things like gaming and streaming at the same time and even more perfect for content creation like editing videos now this one does have a 1060 max qgp which is slightly weaker than a regular 1060 but more powerful than a 1050 Ti. I actually like this combination as I find it offers a sweet spot for gaming you can still game at full HD with settings.
CONCLUSION
Alienware M15:
At the end it absolutely love what they’ve done this thing I like the direction they’ve taken with it and if you’re interesting to the device like you’ve seen it you can undervolt it and fix any kind of thermal issue you could possibly have with it and if you do you’ll have some that’s really enjoyable to use and just looks so much better than everyone else’s gaming laptop on the market.
Dell G7:
So to conclude that Dell g7, I love the fact that you know have a white option getting away from that typical black and red gaming look the only thing I don’t like about this laptop is the color accuracy I do wish it had a better display now. I am gonna be comparing this to the Nova y5 30 and a Helios 300.
