Experts Reviews for Huawei MateBook 13-

By IT PRO

As much as we love the battery, the super fan cooled processors and the display, the best feature on the Matebook 13, is actually a reason not to go for it – Huawei Share is great, but it only works on Huawei…

Huawei makes a good product, whether it’s a smartphone or a PC. That’s the bottom line. Every time I’ve used a Huawei device, it has exceeded my expectations, and the MateBook 13 is no different. I mentioned a few times throughout this review that the…

By ZDNet

The Huawei MateBook 13 provides a high screen-to-body ratio touchscreen experience with specs matching Apple’s MacBook Air for hundreds less. It’s an attractive aluminum machine designed to help you get work done wherever you may be while offering some improvements from Huawei’s phone experience.

By PriceBoon

While Apple offers a wide range of storage options, Huawei offers more manageable storage options. The MateBook 13 has 8 GB of soldered memory, instead of a maximum of 16 for the Air. Either a 256- or 512-gigabyte SSD are available for the supposed clone. Apple, however, lets you configure the Air with 128 GB to 1.5 terabytes.

So how much does this Matebook 13 cost? Well, the one that we reviewed is the i7 Intel core model, so that’s RM4399. If you want the cheaper one, that’s RM3999. That is kind of expensive but that’s probably because of the awesome OneHop feature, the 2K…

The Razer Blade Stealth 13 (2019) Mercury White comes in with a hefty price tag of nearly £1500. And if you’re looking for pure price vs performance this is definitely not the laptop for you. The clue is in the Stealth name and Razer have focused on the…

I really like this little laptop. If you are looking for something ultra-portable that plays games pretty well and you have the money to spend (and you don’t use the right shift key!), perhaps this Razer Blade Sealth 13 is the right model for you. On…

By Engadget

The Blade Stealth is the most powerful ultraportable we’ve ever seen, but it still might not be enough for demanding gamers. It’s a feat of engineering, but its high price also makes it tough to choose, when put up against the Blade 15 and other light…

You can game on it, but it has its limitationsThe Razer Blade Stealth 13 is perhaps the only ultrabook today to offer what I’d consider decent gaming performance. If you travel a lot, but can’t bear to be away from your games, the Blade Stealth 13 may…

By WCCFTech

Should you buy it? That’s a tough question to answer because this is not a mass appeal product. It’s easy to look at the price tag and think it’s expensive and that’s because it is. The Razer Blade Stealth 13 is not a cheap and cheerful laptop. If…

DESIGN

Huawei MateBook 13:

The first 13 inch version and it’s also the cheapest this is technically their entry-level model so it’s a little bit, cheaper and  more affordable and accessible we still get that beautiful slim design. We’ve got a new shark fin 2.0 design which hopefully means this will be a lot quieter poor selection.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

The device is built really well it has this design aesthetic that’s similar to the 15-inch razor blade from this year it’s got this, boxier cleaner aesthetic to it I like the, shape of it the logo the triple headed snake does not light up this year they call it a two-tone finish but it’s basically a matte finish on the surface of the laptop with a polished snake logo.

WEIGHT & DIMENSIONS

Huawei MateBook 13:

The lightweight we’re looking at just under 15 millimeters thick let’s go say 15 kilograms that’s not right 15 millimeters thick and it weighs one point to eight kilograms so you could put this in your backpack and you’ll barely feel it it is such a nice well.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

The dimensions of 0.58″ x 11.99″ x 8.27″ (14.8mm x 304.6mm x 210mm) and weight is almost From 2.82 lbs. (1.28kg).

KEYBOARD AND TOUCHPAD

Huawei MateBook 13:

The keyboard has always been a touch on the creaky side but the flex has gotten a little louder over these last couple months nothing affecting performance but a small creek coming from the case under the display and the plastic on this hinge popped open once with a loud crack.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

The keyboard also feels quite similar to last year’s model as well I don’t like the new layout though so the old layout felt, more traditional to me particularly the right shift key now this is that I’ve mentioned in previous videos as well. I think it’s something that affects a very few people I’m one of those people but I use the right shift quite regularly and it’s just in a weird spot on the new stealth if you use the right shift a lot then you’re gonna take some time to get used to it keyboard, on the hole though is a nice keyboard trackpad this doesn’t feel that different from last year’s model either it’s still winners precision still a glass surface it’s bigger but the experience is pretty similar to last year’s model it’s a good trackpad now,the lighting on the keyboard is a little bit different this year they’re running a single color RGB so you can’t do individually customized keys but depending on what you want and if your keyboard that may or may not make you sad, the keys on the top actually have lighting on them so the previous generation you couldn’t see the function controls on each of the function keys but those light up as well now which is nice now the advantage of having a single color across the whole layout is power consumption.

PORT SELECTION

Huawei MateBook 13:

This Hardware means living the dongle life they may book has a pair of USB seaports, and a headphone jack but what, I found frustrating was the separation of features between the two ports this USB C, can charge them a book but this USB C is where the video outputs this interrupts some of my favorite us docks which can charge an output over HDMI with one cable that’s a bummer because this PC has enough power that someone might want to drive it that hard.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

So the ports, on this device are a little bit different this year there’s to use BA and to use PC so instead of the HDMI port they’ve replaced it with a second use PC if you do need an HDMI you can get an adaptor or whatever there’s also a single headphone jack on the left.

DISPLAY

Huawei MateBook 13:

The headline features of the male book 13 obviously include this beautiful 13-inch display IPS touchscreen but the thing that you’ll see that really stands out from the mate book ex-pro, is that the webcam is at the top the May book 13 does have slightly thicker bezels than the flagship laptop but because of that it means there’s room to put a webcam up top now personally. I did actually really like the recessed webcam which was found on one of the F keys up top. the available space we got a spacious keyboard a display bordered by tiny bezels a very large trackpad everything is pushed right up to the edge and it makes for great usability.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

Okay opening up this display, we have view of the wonderful new screen so this is a device that’s rocking some very thin bezels they’re 4.9 millimeters the top bezel isn’t as thin as the sides but it has the windows hello camera up top which isn’t great in terms of image quality but it gets the job done it comes in either a 1080p or a 4k option the one. I have is a 4k panel but, I got to be honest I’ve always found that on 13-inch devices 4k panels were a little bit unnecessary because the difference in resolution is not that easy to spot I like a regular laptop viewing distance but the 4k panel does look quite nice.

BATTERY

Huawei MateBook 13:

And there’s the power and the charger, if I can actually get this thing out so it’s a well it’s a very small power plug which is pretty cool it does support fast charging 15 minutes of charging gives you two and a half hours of use. The latest processors looking at about 10 to 12 hours of battery life.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

The battery life on this device is good I got a little bit over 6 hours with the screen at 250 nits and this is with the 4k panel it’s not a huge battery it’s been bumped up to 53 watt hours but it’s more energy, efficient system so you get slightly better battery life this year then last year, the AC adapter is still small 65 watts so if you want to charge it on a plane you’re good to go the RAM is soldered on the drive is replaceable and it’s running a pair of fans this year which actually get louder than expect for an ultrabook the temperatures are good.

PERFORMANCE

Huawei MateBook 13:

The design in the performance to the edges of its frame arrives at the beginning of a transition lower power df laptops and Chromebooks are more than adequate, for consumers covering the basics and a new generation of mobile arm chipsets the CPU is found in our phones and tablets are powerful enough to compete against some of the use that you would want from an Intel powered portable PC Apple, recently announced they were doubling down on the iPad with iPad OS.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

I want to spend some time talking about performance on this laptop so you can equip this thing with an MX 150 from Nvidia this is a GPU that comes in two variants they have a weaker 10 watt version that is on some laptops and they have a stronger more powerful 25 watt version which they have in this particular laptop same with some other laptops out there the 25 watt version is not that much better than the 10 watt version it’s better it’s noticeable but it’s not like a huge difference the thing is razor is kind of like marketing this thing as if it were a gaming laptop. I don’t think they ever call it a gaming laptop per se its gaming capable it can run games but it’s not a great GPU and it’s significantly weaker than even a laptop gtx 1050 no matter how you spin.

CONCLUSION

Huawei MateBook 13:

I’m considering how I’m gonna get my work done on the go but because I’ve got a while on this laptop the main question still stands would I recommend someone buy one today. I think I would at least a tech-savvy road warrior someone who’s confident doing some light repair work on their own would get a great deal today on a very good laptop.

Razer Blade Stealth 2019:

So to conclude, that to  get it there are some people that just don’t want a 15 inch device because these are bigger they’re thicker they’re heavier. I get it some people want something smaller so get something else that’s small with an MX 150 there are a lot of devices some of them start like 900 bucks going up to 1200 dollars that have MX 150 s in them now some of them will be running 10 watt chips and some of you need 25 watt chips but they’re just so much cheaper than the new Razer Blade stealth and that’s on the market for something that looks just like this like you want that 13 inch device and you have a huge budget.
