At the end of the day, the Logitech G Gaming Headset is a decent headset for gamers on the budgets and is an honest product in terms of audio quality and design. Add in a Logitech inspired gaming design and overall, the Logitech G Gaming Headset ticked…

The Logitech G432 Gaming Headset owes a lot to its predecessor, the G430, especially in the looks department. Because of that they feel a little dated. They make up for it in their sound quality though, at least through USB where they rival headsets twice their price. Some of that quality is compromised when the USB soundcard is removed, but they still provide an enjoyable experience on consoles.

The most important aspect about the Logitech G432 is the sound, and for the price, it really can’t be beat in terms of sound quality and options. This headset contains all the technology of a $160 headset for half the price. Fantastic theater-like quality that includes the option for 7.1 Surround Sound and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 is a steal for the price.

The Logitech G430 has a stellar mic and is comfortable enough to wear for hours on end, but missing software features hold it back.

Logitech have once again proved to us why they are one of the leading peripheral brand of choice today. They certainly know how to please their target consumer and they know how to go with the trend. Certainly like the color theme of the G430 which looks fresh and modern. Certainly not everybody likes blue but the great looks is certainly one of the good selling point for this headset.

This is one of the best gaming headphones I’ve used and most certainly the most comfortable. The paddings and ear-cups are just at the right depth and stiffness and I never had any problem with wearing it for hours. The voice quality for the microphone…

Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G432

This is the next model from the Logitech G430. This one is good enough in everything. There’s some little bit of changes from the previous one. The design and comfort is good enough and it looks simple. The overall sound and the mic is also good for casual use.

Logitech G430

This headset is good in headset sound but the mic sound is too bad. The design and comfort is also good enough but the build quality is not good as expected. It looks cheap and maybe it will break easily.

Logitech G432

DESIGN:

Logitech G432

Finish wise, you’ve got a matte black finish, all the way around and on the sides, you’ve got a slight glossy black on there and obviously the G logo. The design of the headset is not something new. It looks same as like the older models.

It designed with a color combination of black and blue color. It looks average and simple. For this price range, this design and build quality is as expected. It’s made of full of plastic except the headband adjustment.

Logitech G430

The frame of the G430 which is entirely made out of plastic except for the adjustment part which is made out of aluminium. You are able to adjust the length of the headset to fit your head size.

It designed full of black color with the blue cloth ear-cups padding and also the same with the headband. It looks good and also fits comfortably.

COMFORT:

Logitech G432

It is quite flexible, also quite light feel to it as well and adjustable as most headsets are on both sides. There’s a large actual drivers on each side and nicely padded, quite a smooth leatherette feel on there not real leather obviously, just a fake leather.

The ear-cups are very cushioned and ample cushioning on there. It feels good so far and very flexible. In terms of weight it’s about 300 grams, so not too heavy actually.

Logitech G430

The headset has a thin cloth cushion that spreads over your head and distributes the weight evenly over your head. The cloth cushion is very soft, so you won’t have any trouble of it scratching your head or irritating you. The G430 does have cloth ear cups which should help with cooling your ears but the cloth ear cups is quite hard and it did irritate me at first but I did find that it got softer after using it for a few days. After a week of using them as I didn’t bother me at all anymore.

I still like leather ear cups, I just find them more comfortable to use. The ear cups are quite large which I really really like. A lot of ear cups are too small or too shallow which then scratches the top of my ears and that would really irritate. The G430 does have a lot of space to fit your ears very nicely. The ear cups are able to fold outwards which makes it very handy to rest onto your neck when you don’t want to wear them on your head. If you really want to, you can flip the hitches the other way around on your neck and then bump up the volume for speaker.

FEATURES:

Logitech G432

It’s a wired headset and it supports a 7.1 surround sound. The driver is 50 millimetres, frequency range is 20 Hertz to 20 kilohertz, impedance is 39 ohms and The USB adapter you get with it. You will get a splitter cable for the headphones so you can connect it to a PC via this you don’t have to use the USB adapter.

The USB adapter is actually more for the 7.1 surround sound connectivity. So, you can use it with this and with this particular adapter, you’ve got a 3.5mm connector on there and two connectors, so one goes into your microphone point and the other one goes into your headphone point and if you slowly spin it round you may be able to see an icon showing a microphone and headphone icon. Quality of the actual cable is really good, strong, rubbery finish on there. Then, we’ve got the actual USB adapter for surround sound which is very thin cable.

On the left hand side, you’ve got the volume control. You’ve got the actual mic that pops down. It’s adjustable as well, so you can bring it round. On the other one means on the right hand side, there’s nothing more on there, no buttons or anything like that. The cable length on this is 1.8 meters. It feels average quality, rubbery and feels quite good actually but it’s not braided, I do prefer braided cable and it has a Velcro strap just to keep it all nice and tidy.

Logitech G430

Inside the box along with the headset, you get a USB to auxiliary adapter. The G430’s cable is probably one of the longest fixed cables I’ve seen on a gaming headset. The braided cable is 2.3 meters or 7.5 feet long with two 3.5 millimeter jacks on the end, one for the microphone and one for the speakers.

You also get an audio controller that is fixed to the cable. The controllers that you adjust the audio level and mute or unmute the microphone. You are able to clip this controller to your shirt if you wanted to with a clip on the back of the controller. A very nice accessory the G430 has is the included 3.5 to USB adapter. So, this lets you use your default 30 on your PlayStation without buying another adapter.

MIC:

Logitech G432

The microphone is not as great in terms of sound quality but the sound via the headset is really good. The sound of the mic is not bad and also not too good. We can say that this is average and you can use this one for casual use.

Logitech G430

The microphone is fixed to the left ear cups that it is able to adjust up and down when you want to use it. The middle of the microphone is made out of the rubber material. So, you are able to paint the microphone closer or further away from your mouth.

The mic sound is really bad. It does distort, it doesn’t really clip on thing and it doesn’t pick up background noise but it is just really bad as the quality. So, I’m actually really disappointed in Logitech for this one.

logitech G432 1

SOUND:

Logitech G432

To check the sound quality, Max to max you are getting 80 decibels and also on the other one, it does vary a little bit the levels, so in that also you’re getting eighty on there. Now, in terms of noise leakage, it’s not too bad. There is a little bit of leakage coming out of there but not too bad actually. I’m really impressed for this price range, for a mid-range price headset, the sound quality was really good at maximum volume on both the mobile and the headset. There was no distortion at all. Playing around with the actual equalizer settings between different levels of bass and treble, sound quality was really good on this. So, it’s quite impressive.

There’s a software for the settings of sound of microphone and also headphone. On the G hub Software, the headset will be added after all procedure of installing app and connecting the adapter and USB. The options available on there, acoustics volume, mic, side tone, and you can mute both the volume and the mic. You’ve got noise removal and you’ve got enabled surround sound. If you go to there it will show the different levels around and the actual bass on there as well, so you can adjust these to your requirement if you wanted to change them.

There’s also ETS super stereo mode and also you’ve got equalizers and you can change the different levels on there and even add your own custom equalizer levels. You can go to enable advanced equalizer and nice to have those additional options. On the PS4, the sound quality is great on there.

The sound quality is absolutely great on these headphones, so works well in both gaming situations, listening to music and watching a movie on this. So really impressed.

Logitech G430

I might not like the build quality or the microphone of the G430 but the sound quality is where it makes up for it. The ear cups are so big and it has Dolby 7.1 virtual surround sound really delivers an extremely satisfying sound. I’ve used a few virtual 7.1 headsets and none of them really made me feel that the sounds coming from all around me. So, this is where I have to give the Logitech some points.

The G430 does have a nice low end but at the same time not too low and delivers nice and clear high tones. The sound quality of the G430 is just really good and then adding the 7.1 which just enhances the quality even more.

logitech g430 1

CONCLUSION:

Logitech G432

For a mid-range price headset really good sound quality is great. Mic’s not too bad either and surround sound is very impressive. So all in all, a great headset works on a PC, ps4, Xbox one, Nintendo switch as well.

Logitech G430

The good ones abot the Logitech G430 are always has a great sound quality, large ear cups, the swivel ear cup is very nice as well and it has the USB adapter. The bad ones unfortunate is the build quality which is the two plasticky for me, the horrible mic, and then the cable. I feel, the cable is bit too long, actually it would be nice if it wasn’t standard 1.8 meters and then they could have included the extension cable to make it longer.

But, all in all the G430 is the great headset. It is a bit plasticky which I feel will break very easily if you don’t take care of it but the sound quality does make up for it. But, for this range of price, it isn’t bad.
