INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G703 Lightspeed

This mouse has a nice shape and design which is similar to the G403 mouse. It is a wireless mouse with lightspeed technology and also the battery life of this mouse is nice, there are many things which is good for gaming.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

This is one of the famous wireless mice in this period of time. This mouse suited most people and the reason is, it is an Ambidextrous mouse with some great features for gaming. The price of this mouse is also high as this is good in every feature.

DESIGN & COMFORT:

Logitech G703 Lightspeed

Now, the G703 over here very much is like the G403 which actually got a wired and wireless version. It looks exactly the same thing because it has the same design. In terms of its weight, it’s actually 107 gram Mouse. It has an optional ten-gram that you can add via a switch. You can add that weight if you want a more heavy mouse.

My hand size is about 18 centimeters and it fits around my hand really well. It’s a good fingertip grip to palm grip type mouse. I wouldn’t suggest it for claw grips but you could use it if you’re a claw gripper as well.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

The matte black shell, Logitech always keeps it super neutral and clean with its black and blue color theme as well as just the physical aesthetics of the products. That’s also no surprise because Logitech is a big manufacturer in the professional office workspace setting aside from the gaming brand department. The G Pro weighs in at about 80 grams which are really light and you can certainly feel the hollowness of the mouse with its plastic shell. The mouse overall is a bit small for someone who does prefer bigger palm support.

No other mouse really compares to the grip of what SteelSeries has done with their silicone side grips. A pure plastic mouse body all around like the G Pro will never compare with something like the Sensei 310s grip in my opinion. Silicone rubber grips on a mouse are something I can truly appreciate. Not only does the rubber give better grip but it will also protect parts of your mouse from micro-abrasions and the oil from your hand rubbing off of the coating.

The other thing I can appreciate about the G Pro is that it is an ambidextrous mouse since I do prefer that over an ergonomic mouse. On top of that, Logitech has given us the option to easily modify and switch out the side buttons on the sides, you don’t use depending on whether you’re a left-handed or right-handed user that’s definitely a nice thing to see and that design idea certainly reflects as a part of that premium 150 dollar price point. Smoothness on gliding, the stock PTFE feet is pretty good, I’ve tried it both on a regular fabric cloth mouse pad as well as a wool mouse pad. One thing I will say about in terms of the PTFE feet or Teflon feet used on mice, some people like to change it out if it’s not smooth enough and you can certainly do that. I personally don’t like it when it’s too smooth and prefer a small bit of resistance. You can certainly adapt over time to the smoothness of how your mouse collides as well.

FEATURES & PERFORMANCE:

Logitech G703 Lightspeed

Logitech G703 Wireless has a power play and lightspeed technology built-in. Now, lightspeed is in order to provide a lag-free wireless experience, through wireless receiver it will be connected. A powerplay essentially allows you to play whilst you’re charging. Now, often with wireless technology always have to recharge, and even though battery technologies come across really far in recent years, especially in products like this like you still have to recharge your mouse and some people would not like that. Thankfully, Logitech came up with a solution for the powerplay. It’s basically almost a wireless charging pad in which you can use a Logitech G703 on it. Now, the G703 works in the same way as the G903 does in terms of its power play and also in terms of its lightspeed technology. The Logitech G703 has RGB lighting and a power-play and lightspeed.

In this, you’ve got a PMW 3366 sensor. In terms of performance, both on wired and wireless modes, I found that 703 to perform fantastically. I would use it for eSports, I would use it for competitive gaming like Counter-Strike or Overwatch, Dota, League of Legends and I’ll use it very much for casual games more like Battlefield, Call of Duty, it would actually work as well. So, in terms of its performance with that sensor specifically, it’s fantastic. Logitech has done a fantastic job in terms of its one-to-one tracking, how it responds, and its clicking as well which is now rated a lot higher than its predecessors.

I think it’s 50 million clicks now versus what it was at 20 million clicks and in terms of a sensor tracking on all different types of services, it actually works very accurately. It works flawlessly and is able to track movements very accurately in a game like Counter-Strike where every single pixel counts. Now, it has up to 12,000 DPI that you can use. When I use it on 1,400 DPI I didn’t notice any sort of problems when it came to scrolling around, moving around left and right, or angle snapping. I didn’t have any problems with that at high DPI settings or any jitter so that’s just generally due to the sensor technologist within it and it does a fantastic job.

It works flawlessly with no problems. The design that Logitech has done with this it’s been around for quite a while now, it’s fantastic. The mouse itself underneath, you’ve got the weight adjustments, the pads on a top and bottom, on and off for the wireless. Then, you’ve got two buttons on the left-hand side, so it’s very much a right-handed mouse. The buttons on the left-hand side are soft to click. They’re very nice to click and very easy to click at the top as well and then you’ve got the three standard buttons left, right, and center. One known problem on a Logitech G403 scroll wheel was a rattling problem but in this G703, there’s really no rattling problem occurring.

Now, the cable itself is around 1.8 meters and it is a detachable cable and it has a micro USB connector on one end with a nice little design, braided cable goes into a standard USB. Now, Logitech also includes an extender. In case you’ve got a lot of interference between your PC and your USB. So, the USB is actually absolutely tiny, it is perfect for laptop users but if you’re a PC user and your PC is just a little further away and you might have some interference, I highly suggest plug it into this adapter then plugging the normal cable into this and then now you’ve got a wireless experience.

Now, in terms of lighting, you’ve got RGB lighting at the G logo and the mouse wheel. You can enable/disable it all via the software, the Logitech Gaming Software that is also really comprehensive and allows you to customize it to your hardware content including creating custom macros, creating a key binds to your keyboard, or just disabling it altogether if you don’t want it. So, the mouse itself has fantastic ergonomics, it’s got a good build quality. Its wireless technology is fantastic, its sensor performance is amazing. The weight adjustment is a nice touch and in terms of the looks and the design, the G703 is very much going by the G403 and the G603. If you have a power-play panel, you are thinking of future-proofing yourself for a power-play pad, then get the G703.

Now, in terms of wireless performance, the G703, G603, and G903 performed a lot better than the older variant G403. It worked flawlessly wired and wireless.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

In the box, you do get the mouse itself, the USB receiver, so you can connect it via their lightspeed wireless, an extension adapter for the receiver, the 1.8-meter rubber charging cable that uses micro USB which was a complaint on why Logitech didn’t go with USB-C on this premium mouse. You also get the interchangeable and detachable side buttons or button covers for the side buttons on the mouse which you will or won’t use.

There are up to eight programmable buttons on this mouse including the DPI toggle that’s located underneath the mouse. The scroll wheel is also buttery smooth and quieter than a steel series mouse. Underneath, there’s an on-off switch for the mouse and the compartment that allows you to store the USB receiver whenever you’re not using it. you can take the mouse to go as such or using the mouse while the USB charging cable is plugged in. The G Pro is also compatible with the power play charging mouse pad that’s optional if you want to get that wireless charging. There’s only one lighting zone which is the logo which can be customized through Logitech’s G-hub software.

The Hero sensor on Logitech’s mice is great, very accurate with its one millisecond response time as that is the standard nowadays for gaming mice or any mice in general since technology has advanced so much. The max 16000 DPI, I really don’t care because I will never go anywhere near that high of a sensitivity.

BATTERY:

Logitech G703 Lightspeed

The battery life of this mouse is just good. You may get about 35 hours when RGB lighting is off and get about 24 hours when RGB lighting is off. You may get less or more than this assumption, it depends on how much heavy game you play and how you use the mouse. It takes around 2 hours to charge the mouse on full.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

On a full charge, the mouse has lasted me more than a whole 24 hour day easily with battery leftover and the LED lights on at full static brightness. Without the lights on, you can definitely get over 50 hours.

WHICH TO BUY?

Both the G703 and the G Pro wireless mouse is a good and simple wireless mouse without any crazy design. Before deciding which one is for you, you should consider the price of both the mouse. The G Pro Wireless is very expensive comparing to the G703 but it is an ambidextrous mouse and it has a different design. In my opinion, if you’re not a left-hand user then G703 is a better package but you have to confirm that the G703’s shape is to be comfortable for you.

It may appear a little plain, but the G703 is the best wireless gaming mouse on the market.

And that’s one of the keys to the Logitech G703 gaming mouse: it’s so flexible, and so easily switchable between modes. It exhibits all the mousy goodness one could want. However, while I’m neither here nor there about whether my mouse is wireless or wired, if you’re keen on being untethered, I’d recommend getting the PowerPlay pad as well.

There’s not much to complain about here as this mouse is incredibly accurate, comfortable, customizable, and has absolutely insane battery life. It’s the lightest mouse around and you pay for it though, as its $150 price tag is just too high in my opinion. I get that it’s a top-tier device but to me that’s just too much for a mouse, even one as good as the Pro Wireless.
