Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

The Jabra Evolve 65 stereo is a headset that can be used on a daily basis. When you’re trying to be on calls and meetings all day long this headset really comes in handy. These headsets are retailing for around a hundred and seventy dollars currently.

DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY:

Logitech Zone Wireless

We’ve got our boom mic goes in either direction whichever side of the head you want to have the mic on. When I tilt the boom mic up, I get muted and when I tilt it down it again gets unmuted. If you feel like you’d rather have the boom mic on the other side of the head for some reason maybe it just bugs you, you can flip it around use it on the other side. Logitech branding is there on the top of the headband.

We’ve got our active noise-canceling button, we’ve got our power or Bluetooth button if you push that once it should power it on, if you hold it down for two seconds it turns on Bluetooth for paring. On the side, you’ve got your volume up and down, you’ve also got the answer and hang-up call button if you hold it down it’ll let you mute yourself, and then you can play-pause your music in there as well. Wireless charging is an option using the wireless charging button and then there is the port for charging using the wired charging option.

Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

When you’re on a call the ring on the earcup will light up red. The LED right over there on the side of the earcup tells you the battery life and then it tells you when it’s connected to Bluetooth, and you power it on and off right there. Then you have your micro USB port where the cable goes right in there and that’s about it for connections. It’s magnetic so you can just put the mic up if you don’t want to use it like the headphones. So it’s just magnetized over the arch right there.

There is a plus button-up for volume up, there is a round button to answer and hang up calls, if you press the minus button it’s for volume down, and if you hold it down for two seconds it also mutes. So if you’re on a call and Skype and you hold down the volume down button for a couple of seconds you get a mute the call. It feels really good and it’s not huge. The built quality is plastic, the headband is like a rubberized right here this part is like rubberized and you got the foam right there on the earcups. Also, you can replace these cups on their website, and you can order the new ones.

COMFORT:

Logitech Zone Wireless

If you need to extend the length you can do so. But adjustable feels a little different than some of the other adjustable mechanisms for other headsets normally. we can hear little bits of clicking as it adjusts to various levels in other headsets, this is more of just one fluid motion no clicking where the wires extending as you pull to adjust the headset. So you can adjust the size of the headset as per the size of your head. The earcups also feel cushy to wear for around two hours so they are comfortable enough.

Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

I have to mention it just feels very soft, the padding is very good, and these are very comfortable to wear all day long. The earcup also swivels 90 degrees so that you can get the right fit as you want. The headband is adjustable so you can adjust it to the size of your head. For short periods I don’t feel any discomfort with these but wearing these for long hours causes sweat and hot feeling on the ear.

FEATURES:

Logitech Zone Wireless

When you pop the box open there, instead of having a paper booklet or our quick start guide, all the quickstart information is printed right on to the box itself. So a little bit less paper has to be printed, kind of an eco friendly. We got all the different things we need to know as far as using the device. On the top, we’ve got turning it on one second is on, two seconds of Bluetooth, we’ve got the fact that we have a USB dongle we can plug into the laptop to connect the headset to.

We can see the different positions that the boom mic can go on the box itself as far as which side of the headset you don’t like them be on, how to answer calls, how to mute calls, how to play and pause music, and then down there we can see that we can charge our device with the cord. Also, they’ve got the Logitech tune app, you can download from each of the stores.

We have the packaging kind of tilt things up but in plastic, we got the zone wireless headset itself. Then we’ve got the little USB dongle there in the box, this dongle is that pair to the laptop and we’ve got a Logitech bag for carrying the headset in as well as sticker down there. Opening up the bag, we’ve got that USB cable for charging. If we want to pair, we would hold the button there on the earcup for two seconds to pair with your phone. There is a Bluetooth dongle in there so when the Logitech Bluetooth dongle is plugged into your laptop you can have a wireless connection that way.

Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

When you get your Jabra Evolve 65 you’re gonna get your headset, your USB cable, your USB dongle, and also a nice little pouch so that you can keep the headphones in there, then the cables also go right in the middle and in the little grip there in the pouch you can place the dongle right in. This is very lightweight and very compact. It is nice for the noise canceling purposes. There are actually two versions that are supposed to be like Microsoft Skype MS for business optimized and one is just Unified Communication UC. I used the UC version on skype for business all the time and it works very well.

There is both the mono and the stereo headsets. So the mono obviously will have just one side of the ear cup and the stereo is got both sides. If you just want to use this as headphones so you can just put the microphone up and there is a magnet that keeps the microphone up there when it’s not in use. You can just pair this up with the phone and just listen to music just like a regular pair of headphones. You got your microphone swivels all the way around so you can wear it on your right ear or you can wear it on your left ear whatever you prefer.

There are a couple of ways that you can use these. Obviously, it’s battery-powered but you can also plug it right into your PC, you can do Bluetooth so you can just plug in the dongle and use it that way. You can pair it up with your phone as well. This headset also is they call it passive noise-canceling headset. It’s not a true noise-canceling headphone or headset it does a pretty good job of rejecting voices and it’s not too bad.

The Jabra Evolve 65 has dual connectivity it lets you connect to your PC and another device simultaneously. So you can be using your headset for a call and then as you hang up the call you can just play your music and you don’t have to get a new pair of headphones or anything like that. You can connect via USB with the dongle or you can plug it right into your PC so that’s very nice.

The Jabra Evolve 65 is compatible with Skype for business, it’s compatible with Webex, GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts, and many more so it works with pretty much any platform. The range on the Bluetooth is about a hundred feet as the company claims and I tested it out but it started cutting off when I was little further away than a hundred feet. So I guess it is true it does work and it’s pretty accurate.

BATTERY:

Logitech Zone Wireless

The battery life on these headsets is around 14 hours when the active noise cancellation is on and your music is on or you are on a call. The device does come with USB charging so you can plug right into the bottom of the headset. However, it also does come with the capability to wirelessly charge as well if you have a Qi wireless charging pad.

Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

The battery life on the Jabra Evolve 65 is about 10 hours I have tested and I can tell you that it does last pretty close to it if not more depending on how much you’re using. On-standby you can have it up to 15 days. The Jabra Evolve 65 takes about two hours to three hours to fully charge with the help of micro USB cable.

MICROPHONE:

Logitech Zone Wireless

I tested out the microphone sound quality on these headsets by doing the phone calls. the person on the other end said I sounded clear to them. The microphone actually works really well in canceling out the background noises. The active noise cancellation on these headsets works really well with the help of the microphone. It does a good job of blocking out the background noise when you are working in an open workspace.

Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

I tested out the microphone quality on these headsets also by doing the phone calls. The person on the other end said they heard me but not clearly and they also pointed out that there was a hum coming in the background while I was talking.

Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo

WHICH ONE IS BETTER FOR THE PRICE?

In my opinion, the Logitech Zone Wireless is better for the price because these sound better, the microphone in these headsets performs and sound better has better comfort, and has better battery life than the Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo.

Expert reviews of Logitech Zone Wireless:

By PCmag
The on-ear Zone Wireless is available in gray and has a modern, understated look. Matte finishes and plush earpads are matched with cool, shoelace-style cloth cabling connecting the earcups to the headband. There’s nothing flashy here, but it’s also not a boring, institutional design.

By PCWorld
Logitech’s Zone Wireless headset is designed to address a specific situation: open offices. This design trend might be great for collaboration, but it can be a hindrance when you’re just trying to work. Noise and lack of privacy can kill productivity and raise stress levels, ultimately leading to lower job satisfaction.

By cgmagonline.com
The Zone Wireless is a sleek and functional headset, with a fairly minimalist design. Optimized for comfort, the unit weighs a mere 0.18 Kg; while the 70.7mm ear pads are cushioned with a soft, breathable leatherette so they sit atop your ears snugly while sealing off ambient noise. Mounted to the side of the right earpad—although it can be worn on either side— is the Zone Wireless’ mic, which is on a swivel that automatically mutes when up, and unmutes when brought down.

By the gadgeteer
The Logitech Zone Wireless is a compact on-ear headset that combines active noise cancellation (ANC), wireless charging, and a positionable microphone to give you a comfortable listening experience whether you are connected to your favorite music source or talking on the phone.

It shouldn’t matter when using the Jabra Evolve 65 UC Stereo headset, which is certified to sync easily with most major platforms. Even if using a lesser-known system, the headset will at least provide audio functionality, Jabra maintains.

By headsetplus.com
As you have noticed, Jabra had been adding new UC headsets to the market, and it can become a little overwhelming trying to find a headset that can work with your smartphone and your computer. Personally, I do use and need something reliable and easy to sync thru all my devices and get the best sound quality with no performance sacrifice.

The Jabra Evolve 65 is a stylish new wireless headset from Jabra, which has been designed to improve your focus at work by eliminating distractions from background noise. And where better to test out the Evolve 65 than in our very own customer services call center.

I recently got my hands on a set of Jabra Evolve 65 headset. These headphones have been on the market for a while and include features such as 100 feet wireless range, 10-hour battery life, busy light, and passive noise cancellation.

By Indian Express
The Jabra Evolve 65 UC has a very compact design. The ear cups are round and have a soft foam that sits perfectly on your ears. Not too comfortable, just right. The mic can be turned up when you don’t need it and the headband is comfortable enough for office use. On the left ear cup is the power button which also has the Bluetooth connect toggle. There are battery and Bluetooth indicators just beside it. Just below is the USB port to charge the headset. The ear-cups can fold flat if you want to put them away in the office locker.
