Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Tribit StormBox

Tribit StormBox comes in 3 different colours, a black version, a blue version and a camo version. The Black one is the cheapest of all. It has a 360 degrees sound design and it is a waterproof Bluetooth speaker that delivers 360* full-range sound without worrying about placement. Place in on a table or in the crowd, all listeners will get the same experience. It has an IPX7 feature which means the speaker is waterproof so if you take it on trips where there is a pool or beach or the ocean even if you keep it in water it won’t affect your music or speaker.

JBL Charge 3

As JBL is the brand we know, it’s a well-trusted company they’ve been going on for many years so if you didn’t get a Bluetooth speaker get a brand that you already know exists. Charge 3 is a portable Bluetooth speaker, it has a design award. It gives 20 hours of battery life, it has a microphone, and IPX7 so it is waterproof. You can even charge your phone with this speaker, and that’s the plus point about this speaker. It is a high-powered portable Bluetooth speaker with a power bank and powerful stereo sound all in one. It comes in various colours.

DESIGN:

Tribit StormBox

This speaker has a pretty familiar look to one of the JBL speakers that are also just like this with the 360 surrounds. On the speaker, you have your big play pause button and your volume up your volume down button. Also the volume up and the volume down doubles as track forward and trackback as well you have your Tribit badge on the top side it is one of the subs right there and then also another sub on the bottom side on the back of it. On the backside, you do have a power button, your Bluetooth button, and, your X-base button. Underneath the waterproof cap on the downside, you have your charging port and you also have an aux jack as well. You also have a strap up top right there if you want to hook this to a carabiner and hook it to your backpack or any type of strap or just two carry it anywhere. So, that’s pretty much it for the design the build it has a very nice feel.

JBL Charge 3

The way things are going nowadays almost every piece of tech is waterproof or at least tries to be and the JBL Charge 3 is no exception, it just does so in style. With this ergonomic cylinder shape, you get a rugged feel with a bit of a fashion statement. You get a little bit of weight but more so they kind of let you know you have something with the little quality in your hands making it compact size and more than worthy travel buddy. The speaker looks pretty nice, it’s actually pretty small when you will see the speaker you will feel the same. There are buttons on the speaker, and the buttons here power button, JBL connect button, volume button, pause button we have all that good stuff on JBL. Also, it has a stand on the bottom to stand it up, it’s really nice. We also got the little charger, it looks pretty cool and we’ve got the little cable and the manual just for set up reasons. On the back, there is a cover you have to open if you want to connect the cables, connect the USB, or charge your phone.

FEATURES:

Tribit StormBox

On the box of Tribit StormBox portable wireless speaker there on the backside is given the specifications like it’s Bluetooth version 4.2, driver size two times 45 millimetre two times passive radiator, output power 2 times 12 watts, you got your signal-to-noise ratio, frequency response, your battery is a 2600 milliamp-hour battery, music playtime up to 20 hours then that depends on the volume level of the music that you’re playing to, charge time is 4 hours input direct current 5 volts 2 amps, and, the weight is about 545 grams very light. This speaker is IPx7 and says a waterproof X based speakerphone, long battery life, and, superior sound.

When you will open the box, inside you’ll get a user manual which shows a blue, black, and, red version, the red version is not available online and I’ve never found a red version on Amazon as well but the red version is also kind of good. Then you will get the thank you and kind of formalities. Then you have the StormBox speaker itself, mine is blue as I really like the blue colours on any tech items but you can order whichever you like. After that, you will get your micro USB charging cable and that is it, that’s everything that comes with the whole boxing experience.

It has a wireless daisy-chain, so you can actually connect two Tribit to your mobile device for this if you have the same speaker hook up two of them and you can use them in stereo. Also, you can play this on any device. You can pair this to your phone or your any mobile device, what you need to do is just turn the power button, on the backside you’ll see the lights flash up and automatically go into Bluetooth pairing mode if it’s not already connected to a mobile device and then you just have to hit Tribit StormBox and then it’s connected. Just like that, you do have your battery indicator lights on the backside as well. There are four indicator lights so, I’m guessing each one stands for 25%. Then you have your Xbase button also.

JBL Charge 3

On the box they have given basic information about the speaker at the bottom like it’s Bluetooth speaker, it gives 20 hours of playtime, 6000 milliamp power bank battery, speakerphone, and, it’s IPX7 waterproof. You will notice that JBL has always a different and weird way of making the box open. So, when you will unbox charge 3 you will see the speaker itself, manual, charger, and, its cable.

It’s easy to grip buttons on the top make playback controls easy to access and the fact that you compare another chart screen for double the trouble is an added bonus. The IPX7 waterproof rating was the real deal no more worrying about spills or rain.  It is perfect at just 150 bucks, no tech is truly perfect but you know the only flaws I ever found where when I dunked it a little too deep and the connection started giving out and maybe that the side grills where the charged reimage sound, we’re a little prone to scratches well that’s pretty minor to all the major keys. There are lights on the speaker that indicate the battery level, whether it is low or high.

As it’s a Bluetooth speaker so you can expect it to stick to the norm in a lot of areas, but it does have a few tricks on its sleeve. Alongside the back area you can uncover a spot for a lining connection, mini USB charging, and, a USB to use the charge 3 to charge other things like your iPhone or any android phone. With a suggested 20 hour battery and a 6000 milliamp power bank I found that charging and playing wasn’t a give or take or deal. Also, you can access Google and Siri from your JBL speaker, you just have to press the button and it’s done.

SOUND QUALITY:

Tribit StormBox

This speaker does have a better sound. Even when you will play music on 25% volume, it still gives amazing effects. The arrangement of the buttons are also good, volume up, pause, and volume down buttons in line are really nice. The 360 sound design is what makes it give you a louder sound. It has Xbass technology in which dual passive radiators work together with all-around sound to enhance every beat properly, it gives the bass a boost. I did try that X sound boost button on the back but I didn’t notice a difference but if you want to use it hit the XBASS button to get things going.

You’re going to get that good bass, you’re going to get clear highs, the mid-tones were pretty good as well. I’m not really an audiophile so my version so my description of sound quality is just is it loud, is it clear, is it distorted that’s pretty much my spectrum of sound when it comes to speakers. So, it’s pretty good when it comes to autos it’s loud, it’s clear, the bass thump, and, it doesn’t get distorted when I turn it all the way up, so this speaker is definitely amazing. The IPX7 waterproof rating works just like it said it would. I personally tested it in the water keeping it in water for 30 seconds and it was still working, sound does come out from the water that too clear.

JBL Charge 3

This speaker has amazing sound and the bass is too good. It’s really easy to connect it with the phone, you just have to turn on the Bluetooth on the phone and connect it with the speaker. Light will get on if your Bluetooth is connected. This is the speaker you can always depend on, it’s loyal, it’s faithful and I like that I appreciate that. The charge 3 fills up a room with warm tones and Christmas even in water also it sounds great. This speaker sounds extremely impressive in the face of competition.

This speaker has a JBL bass radiator, dual external passive radiators give a powerful and amazing sound. Even this speaker connects up to 3 smartphones or tablets wirelessly to the speaker and takes turns playing powerful stereo sound. And you can even answer your calls with the speaker with just a touch of a button. So, charge 3 delivers some impressive low-frequency response. So, overall it gives an amazing sound with great bass.

WHICH ONE IS WORTH BUYING?

Tribit StormBox is worth around $57 to $61, depends on the colour you choose. The sound quality of the speaker is very good in my opinion.  It is a great value for the money. At this price, it is tough to find this much features especially IPX7 water resistance and even it is good for indoors and outdoors too. JBL Charge 3 is also an amazing speaker it also provides great features and it is available in different colours too, so you have options too. It’s worth around $149 to $180, depends on the colour you choose and even in the sale may be you can buy at less price too.

According to me, both are great but as JBL Charge 3 is expensive it has some more features and the sound quality is also better. But if your budget is low, go for Tribit StormBox and if your budget is high, go for JBL Charge 3.
