Turtle Beach Recon 200
This headset gives more than enough with this price range. It’s just $60 and for this price the sound quality, design and build quality and also comfort is good.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600
This has nice features and sound quality and especially all these comes in a price of $100. Everything is nice and works well for this price range.
DESIGN:
Turtle Beach Recon 200
It’s a phenomenal headset. It’s aesthetically pleasing. People sometimes say that like the cheaper it is you don’t get as much quality but in this case, this headset is awesome.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600
For the most part, Stealth 600 is made up of plastic materials both matte and glossy, and while the plastics will look like they’re of the highest quality. They definitely do feel nice and sturdy and I have no fears about this headset falling apart.
COMFORT:
Turtle Beach Recon 200
It has a very comfortable muffs. I like the leather or the quality of the material on the muffs because it just makes it feel very cool to wear, not cool as in the way you look but cool as in the feeling. It’s very soft and comfortable to the touch and feels on your head and that’s a big deal when you’re wearing your headset for however long, you need to be able to wear your headset for consecutive hours if you’re a streamer or you’re a big gamer and you game for long periods of time, it’s really nice to have a comfortable headset.
They have some padding on the sides with a logo inside the earpieces. They have real comfortable padding, not like other headsets I ever owned. They fit perfect, they slide up and down.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600
You also will find an adjustable extension on each of the headset to adjust the length. The ear cups are surrounded by nice and breathable cloth material. This is much better than some materials you’ll find on other headsets that try to use faux leather and other types of materials.
FEATURES:
Turtle Beach Recon 200
It has a lot of different features. It has an amplified system in it, you have to charge and the amplify system makes the base so much louder and it’s one of the only actual Turtle Beach headsets that I’ve actually found that has that feature and it’s really nice. The headset comes at a price of only $60 that is insanity for the piece of equipment that you’ll be getting for the price.
I love that all the features, the flip mic, and mute things. I use an adapter to my controller so I can meet it that way but besides that, I think this is a very nice headset for the price.
The battery time is up to like 10 to 12 hours. If you have a charge and you have it plugged in but the sacrifice isn’t that big of a deal unless you really just hate the cords and you want a wireless headset, this isn’t for you. I just put it on the charger after I’m done to playing with it or having it on and then it charges and the next time it’s ready to go.
Mic itself swivels up and down and then on the left side has the power button and the controls for the volume and chat. On the power button you slide it up is ps4 and the bottom is Xbox. So, you can switch between this. This has powerful amplified audio, high quality 40mm speakers, flip-up the microphone, bass boost, mic monitoring, it’s durable and comfortable. This works with Xbox, PS4, PS4 Pro and it also works great with pc, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.
The one thing I don’t like is the power switch where you change it from like ps4 to Xbox. So, most of the time I play PS4, and to turn that off you have to put that button in the middle but it’s sometimes hard to get in the middle, it just goes into the bottom on the Xbox one.
The box says that you have to fully charge this headset, just use like a regular Android charger. I used the charger that I use for the ps4 controller and that works fine. It charges pretty quick and the battery doesn’t run out that fast.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600
According to the Box, the Stealth 600 is made for the ps4 and the ps4 pro but tend to have neither one of those consoles, I’ve been using it on PC and for the most part, it works amazing.
Inside of the actual box, it has the actual headset, the USB wireless dongle because this is a wireless headset. You also will be getting USB micro cable and a package labeled literature.
The right ear cup is a completely barren wasteland, the left ear cup is really where the party’s at. On the left ear cup, you’ll find a number of controls and buttons. So, you will find a general control wheel for the volume and you’ll also find a control wheel for your party chat and this is that feature I mentioned earlier that isn’t available on the PC version but it does work on the ps4 version which I do think it’s pretty awesome. You’ll also find two buttons, one for power and one for mode. With the power button doing the obvious of powering on and off the headset and the mode button allows you to toggle through the different sound profiles that Turtle Beach does have built into their headset.
At the bottom of the headset, you will find a USB micro port that is used for charging the headset. I only have to charge it once a week while using it continuously every single day.
MICROPHONE:
Turtle Beach Recon 200
The mic in this one is very short and not like the big gaming mics like on the other headsets. Even though it’s short and can’t get into the mouth side, it catches up the voices clearly.
The sound of the mic is pretty clear and I don’t have any issues with it. The only issue is its extremely low volume microphone but it doesn’t struggle with the low-end voices. Overall, It’s pretty good for this price.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600
The microphone does have a position, activation, and deactivation. So, while it is tucked away it is deactivated and when you bring it down it’s then activated.
The mic design is as same like the Recon 200’s mic. It’s very short but catches the voice of persons. The sound is not that much refined but it’s clear. it can be used for gaming definitely and chat etc.
SOUND:

It’s an awesome well-round headset. The amplified system makes the base so much louder. Even though it’s cheaper, it has an amplified system. So, it makes it sound like an expensive headset.
The sound quality is awesome. Its surround-sound when you play a game, you hear footsteps and everything like the gunshots, the crashing the bombs, the explosions, it just comes to life with these headsets. Their sound is really good. You could use these for your android devices to listen to music on your tablet or on your phone.
I could hear everything in the game real perfect. I’ve been playing a lot of Apex Legends with this mic. On this one I could hear like footsteps, I could hear people walking on the roofs and the buildings, so that like helps you out to hear something and gives you a heads up. I also played with this on my Xbox for the Overwatch game. Overwatch is like more you jump straight into like fighting, attacking, and what I really enjoy with these headsets on that game it’s the sound effects. I love the sound effects on the games where they have a lot of action, especially like Overwatch, action, and shooting.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600
The sound is super subjective and it’s all about the listener what type of tones they like and what type of audio profile they like. When it comes to Turtle Beach’s Stealth 600, I think it’s an absolutely fantastic headset especially considering its price tag of only 99 dollars.
I am just surprised that it’s also well worked with the music. I mean, you can listen to music with this headset. Also, in gaming, the audio is clear and balanced. You can clearly hear every sound including some low-end sounds.
For that price tag, you’re getting a super comfortable headset that also offers up the fantastic sound quality and also super versatile accused on a PC or ps4 and also has great battery life.
WHICH TO BUY?
In both headset, to get a decision will be very difficult because both are good headset with the mid-range price. There is a little difference in the price. Even though Stealth 600 comes at $100, it works better than the Recon 200 and it’s also wireless. If you don’t want a wireless facility and want any basic headset then start with the Recon 200, it’s also way good for beginners in gaming.
