Logitech MX Anywhere 2S

The Logitech Anywhere 2S mouse is great in portability and it also has many features like Master 2S but the only main difference is its lightness in weight and size.

The design and the features are almost the same as the MX Anywhere 2S mouse. This will be great for portability and also here there will be no clicking sound, it will be that much silent.

You do get a mouse, the USB cable, and the unifying receiver. The mouse itself looks pretty much the same as before.

The design of the mouse is amazing because it is designed by keeping the thought of many features in a small shell that can be easily portable. On both sides of the mouse, you can see the geometric design which helps your grip. 

Logitech M590 Multi-Device Silent

The design of this M590 mouse almost looks like the MX Anywhere 2S mouse but not that many geometric designs that Anywhere 2S had. It may give you less grip comparatively but for this price, this is worth buying. The materials used here are not very premium as we consider the price but it looks good and solid.

It’s got pretty much five customizable buttons, so you got your left-click, right-click, forward, back buttons, and a middle button. The middle button is set up for gestures but if you download the Logitech Options software, it opens up a whole world of different possibilities and different combinations that you want to use. So, Logitech options allow you to put the buttons as keyboard shortcuts, you can change them into Macbook gestures, you can program it to do pretty much anything you want it to do for your computer.

Although this scroll just looks like a regular typical mouse, this is probably why the mouse is so hyped up. The way that this mouse scroll is probably the most ergonomic and satisfying feeling that a scroll can have. Also, this clicky scroll. Sometimes though you have these long documents that you just can’t get through all the reading and you just really want to get to the bottom of the document and that’s when this thing comes really handy. If you push it in, it has something called an infinite scroll, it’s pretty much frictionless. Those are really cool options.

You still have the on/off switch behind it and you still have that toggle button underneath the sensor itself. You do get the new Logitech logo too which is a lot slicker than before and anything else about the mouse is about the same. You still get the frictionless scroll wheel, so that means your middle click button will move to what is conventionally the DPI switcher. The newly defined receiver is a lot tinier than before. If you put it on your laptop, it will be so flush that it’ll be quite difficult to take it out.

You can also connect many devices seamlessly. You have to download the Logitech Options software to use the flow feature. The flow features help you to transfer the text, images, and files from one computer to another device. This makes it super convenient. Another really nice thing is that it can be connected via Bluetooth or the USB receiver.

It literally does what it says. It works pretty much on any surface, even on the glass tables or regular tables. I suppose the only downside of having this Anywhere 2S Mouse is I personally feel like it’s a little small even though it’s supposed to be more ergonomic. I guess that’s the benefit of it because it’s so portable.

This is a USB and a Bluetooth mouse, you can use it on either standard and it is the multi-device meaning you can connect it to two different devices and alternate between the two.

It’s a right-handed mouse, so that’s one thing to know it’s gonna fit in your right hand. We have two buttons on the side, we’ve got our scroll wheel which is also a button on top and that’s reasonably quiet. Logitech says it is a 90 percent improvement, almost this thing is true because the buttons sound is very silent.

There is the unifying USB receiver placed inside the mouse and we can also say in the battery compartment. When you set the connectivity via the receiver, you gonna see a green light on the mouse. To connect the multi-devices, you just need to select the second option in the mouse which is below the scroll wheel. Then, hold down to pair, it will flash the light. It will work flawlessly between the USB unifying receiver and the Bluetooth connection.

The tracking is very smooth, it’s actually kind of silky smooth. We should install their software called Logitech Options. Compared to the normal clicking sound, it’s not terrible. We have got very silent click sound which will be really useful in office situations. I thought it would be really soft and spongy, it’s still clicky.

Not only is it good at being able to track everything, but the battery life is also outstanding. It lasts for 70 days claims by the company and is simply just charged by the micro USB port.

There is one AA battery inside the mouse doing power duties. Logitech claims that this mouse will have 2 years of battery life which is amazing. So, you don’t have to worry about charging in these periods of time. 

WHICH TO BUY?

Both these mouse work well and there are not many differences between them. The price gap between these mouse is about $20. If you want a premium and portable mouse then MX Anywhere 2S will be good. Otherwise, if you want a silent clicking mouse or if you have a little bit tight budget then M590 will be good to buy. If you need a portable mouse that can connect with multiple devices and that has a really cool scrolling feature, the M590 mouse is definitely worth it.

To be honest, unless you’re going to take advantage of the Logitech FLOW technology, then it’s not worth the upgrade from its predecessor. However, for someone who uses a MacBook Air and a Windows desktop and don’t have enough screen real estate to work with, the Logitech FLOW does indeed work.
