At the end of the day, the Logitech G Gaming Headset is a decent headset for gamers on the budgets and is an honest product in terms of audio quality and design. Add in a Logitech inspired gaming design and overall, the Logitech G Gaming Headset ticked…

The Logitech G432 Gaming Headset owes a lot to its predecessor, the G430, especially in the looks department. Because of that they feel a little dated. They make up for it in their sound quality though, at least through USB where they rival headsets twice their price. Some of that quality is compromised when the USB soundcard is removed, but they still provide an enjoyable experience on consoles.

The most important aspect about the Logitech G432 is the sound, and for the price, it really can’t be beat in terms of sound quality and options. This headset contains all the technology of a $160 headset for half the price. Fantastic theater-like quality that includes the option for 7.1 Surround Sound and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 is a steal for the price.

In terms of budget-friendly options, it doesn’t get much better than this. It lacks a lot of features that premium headsets have, but it’s easily one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn, and it provides exceptional audio quality to boot.

Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G432

The design of this headset is full of black color with the matte finish which looks very simple. It has the leatherette ear-cups which is pretty good in comfort. The sound is also good and impressive, you can also use the software to listen the better sound.

Razer Kraken X

The design and comfort is good in this one. It is made full of plastic but also it’s not feel like cheap. The sound is also good enough for the price but the mic sound is not that much good.

DESIGN:

Logitech G432

This is the Logitech G432, a nice looking headset but if you have a blue setup, I think they would fit perfectly. Actually the quality could be a bit better, there are some issues with the turning of that ear cups but it’s okay for me for this price range.

It would be also nice if there is more metal, the headband is out of metal but it is on the smallest setting. So, it looks a bit cheap. Of course, you can adjust this and there is a cushioning on the headband itself. It’s made out of some plastic, leather material and actually it feels nice.

Razer Kraken X

The frame and the ear-cups are entirely made from a plastic with no aluminum reinforcement on the inside. The headset doesn’t feel like it’s cheaply made but you need to be careful when using it. It can flex and a twist open a fair amount with the ear cups, also being able to tilt a bit but I’m not sure how it will handle multiple drops or very rough use.

COMFORT:

Logitech G432

It fits perfectly on head. Also, you can tilt and adjust the ear cups as you want and so if they perfectly fit on every head. The cushioning on the ear cups is quite good, I like it. For me, it’s comfortable to sit there a long time with the headset on. You can remove the cushions and clean it and useful.

Razer Kraken X

Compared to the other Kraken headsets the Razer Kraken X has a much smaller ear cups. I don’t like the small ear-cups that much in headsets but the X was able to completely cover my ears and it didn’t feel like was squishing them inside. The Razer Kraken X was actually much more comfortable than I initially thought it would be again with that smaller ear cups and just a for the price.

The cushions you get is a full leatherette memory foam with a nice soft touch to them. Also, if your ears do tend to scratch against the inside of the driver wool which can get really annoying, you don’t have to worry the Razer Kraken X does not have that a problem with a nice soft fabric against the driver. The headband does also have some leather form of padding at the top that does do a decent job.

The Razer Kraken X does make a pretty good seal around your ear with the clamping force also not being a too much but just enough to prevent the headset from easily falling off when you bang your head around.

FEATURES:

Logitech G432

You have the volume scroll wheel on the back of the ear cup. The cable is quite long and it should be enough for everyone of you. Also, if your PC is like 1 meter 2 meters away from you that should be enough cable. Also, you can use it with your Xbox controller, with your smartphone.

Razer Kraken X

Now, Razer did also include the mic mute and volume control wheel at the back of the left ear cup like most of their other headsets which is always really handy.

The cable which is non-braided with a length of 1.3 meters and has a 90 degree TRS connection at the end. Also included in the Box is a 1.3 a meter extension cable that splits into deal a mic and headphone jacks. So, if you wanted to use it on a PC it works and same goes for consoles, Xbox, and also for PlayStation.

MICROPHONE:

Logitech G432

The microphone could sound better. A good thing is though that you can adjust the microphone as you want to improve the sound quality a little bit. The mic is flip to mute mic. So, when you put them up it will mute automatically and when you put them down, you can use it.

The mic sounds quiet good but it could sound little bit better. Also, when you use the USB and the splitter cable directly, I found some difference in the sound of the mic. The USB mic sound is little bit louder than the sound when you use the splitter cable directly.

Razer Kraken X

You get a non detachable and bendable mic which is really unfortunate. If Razer added a detachable mic or an extractable mic like on all their other headsets, it would have a made the exit that much greater for an all-purpose headset. So, if you wanted to use this headset in a public because it does actually look nice and low-key, you can’t really because with the microphone it just looks weird.

It actually sounds pretty good better than I expected. The sound could be a bit soft but the quality is good. As for noise cancellation, it doesn’t do the best job for reducing the sound of mechanical keyboard but for just normal use it’s different gonna be good enough like just chatting with your friends in a game recording but it’s not the best. For this price range, gaming headset mic actually not that bad.

SOUND:

Logitech G432

The sound quality of this headset with the new 50 millimeter drivers is phenomenal when you watch movies but it’s not that good when you listen to music because it sounds quite muddy. But, overall great headset for this price range.

You also has the facility of G hub software of Logitech. In that software you can set you all settings of the headset sound and mic sound. You have equalizer and also you can make your own presets.

Razer Kraken X

Now you will be able to hear some allowed sounds around you but for just people talking close up by it does a do a good job especially without ANC. Sound bleed is also not too bad but people really close to you will be able to hear what you’re listening to, so you might not want to push it a to allowed there.

Now as for volume and sound quality, the Razer Kraken X was a plenty allowed enough for me and it should also be for most people. The quality was also actually much better than I initially thought it would be as like with equality. It’s not a perfectly balanced across the frequency range with the mid standing out a bit more but lower ends was a good with decent amount of bass, although it’s not like thumping heavy a bass and then also the highs are being a clear and crisp. Of course, you can’t expect to do any high grade audio or work with these just for gaming, listen to music and movies, they’re also gonna be perfect for that.

CONCLUSION:

Logitech G432

The design looks simple and pretty good for gaming. The comfort level of the headset is also good. The mic sound is little bit not good but the headset sound is impressive. Also, as a add on you get the software to set whatever you want in the headset. So, it worth the price.

Razer Kraken X

The Razer Kraken X actually surprised me somewhat with a good comfort and sound quality. The build quality is okay and same goes for the microphone. The only thing that I didn’t like again was that the microphone is a fix and it takes away so many possibilities of using this headset other than a gaming in your room which is a major downfall but other than that this headset is really good. It definitely worth for the price.
