Detail Review:
INTRODUCTION:
Logitech G935
The Logitech G935 is DTS headphone X 2.0 with 7.1 surround sound and as like other Logitech headphones these headphones also have the flip-down boom mic. These headphones are really good for gaming as these sounds great. These headphones are currently retailing for around a hundred and thirty dollars.
Logitech G635
The Logitech G635 is Currently retailing for around a hundred dollars. These headphones are quite similar to G935 but these lack few features that the G935 have. These are one of the wired headsets from Logitech which is also one of the huge differences between these and the G935.
DESIGN:
Logitech G935
A couple of other things I really like about what Logitech has done with this design are all of the controls are hardware-based. So we have a power switch up there, that’s a toggle switch you turn it on and off no like holding things for five seconds or not knowing whether or not it’s on or off, you just visually can tell it’s on. Next, it has a scroll wheel for the volume and that volume wheel is on the same side so all the controls are on the side.
As usual like with other headphones you get a USB receiver. Logitech has a really cool feature which is that you can actually keep the receiver right into the side of the headset right there so that you can take it with you anywhere you go and you won’t lose it. So, that is really a neat feature. Also, there’s a battery in there on the side of the headphones. I’m not sure if you can get replacement batteries but you can see what it looks like.
As usual, Logitech has the flip-down of extending boom mic and it’s flip up to mute which is a feature I really love particularly on teleconferences. It disappears right into the side of the headset and I love that feature. For the mic audio quality, the driver there in the mic is upgraded to a 6-millimeter driver.
Logitech G635
When you buy a headset with RGB lights, you’re not buying the RGB lights mainly for yourself because you’re not gonna examine the headset, the RGB lights are supposed to be to kind of give your viewers something that looks like it pops, it’s really nice and cool. If you are using these while you are on stream, why Logitech put the RGB lights on the back when viewers cannot even see what the colors are on your headset unless you’re turned around. Overall, the design of this headset is quite different and a drawback here.
Quality of the parts exterior wise I noticed that it is very stiff, so if you kind of have a moment where you kind of rush to put it on or rush to take it off you might break something I had that feeling in it. It’s made of very hard plastic on the sides and on the top, so I don’t know how durable those parts might be. So that is one kind of drawback from this. It feels like they could have put a little bit more effort and quality into the actual exterior parts of the headset but other than that.
COMFORT:
Logitech G935
The drivers are improved and the ear cups are a leatherette which is quite a bit more comfortable than the sports mesh they usually use. Logitech actually kind of admitted that even though the sports mesh is better at preventing sweat, most of the users don’t really care about that. That’s not how they judge ear cups or headphones, they want something that’s really comfortable and this leatherette compound is a lot more comfortable than with sport mesh.
I have only two criticisms of this headset first it’s a little bit stiff so when I first put it on, I felt that the steel bands are probably going to break in a little bit. But over time, you’ll probably get that to loosen up a bit. The other criticism I have is this headset is pretty heavy. It’s not lightweight, it’s fairly heavy and when you have it on your head you feel it’s there, it’s not going to disappear on your head. So I feel it’s probably not the most comfortable headset I’ve ever worn but it’s close.
Logitech G635
The pads here are very soft, very breathable, the top pad is also very soft and breathable. I have worn this headset for a very long time, I wore this headset for about three and a half hours my ears never bothered me, they never felt like they were squished or anything like that. So that is one very big plus to this. Even though it has a very beefy build where most of the headsets nowadays are very thin they’re not as thick as this, I was very surprised that they didn’t really feel like they constricted me too much. They stay on your head very snug, they don’t have any kind of issues.
FEATURES:
Logitech G935
The Logitech G935 is Logitech’s new premium wireless gaming headset. It’s a surround model, so it does feature the new DTS headphone X 2.0. It’s actually a 7.1 standard but they call it 2.0 and it is a simulated surround so you only have two drivers. The drivers are very capable 50-millimeter drivers that’s up from the 40 millimeters in the previous G933 which this headset looks identical.
You get 12 hours of battery life without RGB effects and 6 hours with RGB effects so that’s a little bit on the low side, also that’s below average. It’s even a little bit below what the previous G933 could do I think that’s because of the bigger audio drivers. You do have the RGB effects here, there aren’t a lot of headphones on the market that actually do have RGB effects and it’s partly RGB in the headset because it’s probably a couple of things first of all it does reduce battery life significantly by about 50%. If you’re an eSports player or you go to public events where you want people to see your team’s color or you just want to show off these headphones will let you do it but you’ll only do it for six hours.
Logitech G635
In the box, obviously, you get the headset and it comes nicely wrapped and firmly wrapped in the box, it doesn’t jiggle around a little bit so that’s fine. Also in the box, you’re gonna get a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary cable which you can use to run the headset into another device such as your Nintendo switch, if you have an Xbox 360 controller, an Xbox one controller that has regular audio, you can use it for that as well or if you have an adapter you can use it for that.
You can use the auxiliary cable for anything you can hook it up to a speaker if it has an auxiliary cable and you can listen through that as well, so you have variety in which you can hook this up to or you can hook it up to your PC with the micro USB cable that they give you. It’s about a six and a half foot micro USB cable that they give you and its braided, so it seems pretty durable for the most part and that’s if you want to hook it up to your PC. You do get your set-up guide that says if you have it on PC, click the PC icon and then download it on your PC and if you have it for a gaming device, download the gaming device software on your smartphone and plug it into your console.
SOFTWARE:
Logitech G935
The desktop interface for Logitech is called a G hub and it’s really a new completely ground-up redesign of the Logitech gaming software that it replaces. So it uses kind of a block style which is really in vogue these days and it has all of your Logitech peripherals right upfront really easy to select. When you flip over to the G935, there we do have the RGB controls you can have it on fixed, you can have kind of cycle, breathing, a few other features plus off if you want to change and if you want to save power. Cycle one keeps changing the color lighting in your headset and by fixed one you can keep one color fixed without getting changed. You can also just have like the RGB effects on the G logo on your headset or doing a breathing effect that saves a lot of battery power by changing the settings in your software.
When you go into the gear selector and your RGB is off, you can see that at your current battery level will be more. When you switch on the lighting for example set it down at fixed you check the gear selector, your battery life will go down. 6 hours is maximum with RGB and in about 12 hours max without RGB that is a little bit below average or quite a bit below average. So that’s one area where Logitech is still kind of finding its way in its new software. Also, you can set all the G keys, so that’s a feature that a lot of modern headsets don’t have. But this has a lot of these shortcut keys, you can do a lot of actions which is pretty cool. Also, we have controls for DTS headphone X 2.0, creatively all the volumes go to 11.
We can also shut off surround sound in the software and when surround sound is off, that’s just gonna be standard stereo and when you turn it back on and it turns on DTS headphone acts. One thing that I think that Logitech has to fix in this is that they need to bring the Settings button-down over there where the other settings are. Other than that you have the device startup effect and sleep timer in the actual settings. It looks great, Logitech has really done a great job redesigning his interface.
Logitech G635
The site is really good and it actually breaks everything down for you in a tutorial. All you have to do is go to the Logitech support site and select what product it is, this being the G635 and then once you get into there, it will break it down in order on all the different components. All you need to do is go to Logitech’s website and it’s gonna bring you up to a page where you can download the Logitech G hub. Once it’s downloaded and you have a desktop shortcut you’re gonna open your Logitech G hub program. You need to do a few things with this headset out of the box to make it perform the best. So once you get to the actual program it’s gonna tell you which Logitech items you have currently.
When you click G635 in the software, the first thing you’re gonna notice is light sync. So light sync is the lights that are on the back as well as the logo that is on the side of the product. You’re gonna go in the primary is the track lighting on the side of the headphone. So in primary, you have a couple of different effects you can choose. You have fixed meaning that the light will stay the same, you have a cycle which means it’ll slowly cycle through and you can actually pick the speed at which it will cycle if you want to have it cycling. Then you can do the same thing with the logo, so the logo you’re gonna have rotating and the side track to be cycling. So you can have one cycling and the other one not so it gives you full control over both different lights, that is one very cool feature with this.
Then you have some assignments in the software all this is designed for the three buttons that are g1, g2, and g3. You can essentially set hotkeys to the headset if you want so you can set it up to where one button might mute the audio, you have one that can bass increase, and you can set the other one to audio output cycle or anything from the assignment list. Then you’re gonna go into acoustics and the first thing you’re gonna do is make sure that noise removal is checked. So this is going to give you the best possible noise canceling solution out of the headset. Then you’re gonna always make sure to enable surround sound so that no matter what, you have the best possible sound quality coming through the unit at all times.
Then you can go over and test your surround sound and when you put it on a test it’s gonna give you a variety of sounds it’s gonna give you some deep bass sounds, gonna give you some high-pitched sounds, it’s gonna let you listen to some rock music style stuff, some horror movie style stuff, you’re gonna hear the stuff coming from behind you. So it’s gonna tell you which speaker is playing, it’ll say this is the real speaker and you’ll hear something as if it’s coming from behind you and it’s gonna test all of those speakers out. You can adjust the bass on here as well then you also have an equalizer.
SOUND:
Logitech G935
Logitech has done a fantastic job, first of all, the surrounding implementation is great. This is DTS headphone X 2.0 which is a huge improvement over the original and although it is a simulated 7.1 surround it sounded great in particularly in battlefield 5. It really allows you to identify where sounds were coming from and the amount of base that this provides is pretty amazing. Explosions really were in my head if it was this headset definitely provides a great gaming experience.
Logitech G635
Quality of sound I would also rate very well. The 7.1 surround sound system within this and the drivers that Logitech G635 uses is actually quite nice. So overall, you feel very immersed in the sound, they do a very good job of that. If you need better sound quality then you can also use the equalizer in the software and adjust the sound as you want and that way you can get better sound quality.
WHICH TO BUY?
In my opinion, you should buy the G635 because its price less than the G935 but it almost has all the features that G935 has other than that these are wired headsets and the G935 are a wireless headset. But if you want a wireless headset and if you are ready to pay more for that, then you can buy the G935.

Logitech’s G935 has several design issues, but they do perform well in-game. They are also slightly overpriced, so if you can overlook the general flaws you will have a great wireless headset that will perform well in almost any game.By windowscentral.com

The G635 finished just behind the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 and ahead of the Cloud Revolver S. The Cloud Revolver S and the G635 both scored about the same, with the Revolver’s superior comfort averaging out the better sound and mic quality of the G635. These headsets also retail for about the same price, which is a little less than half that of the Beyerdynamic. The MMX 300 does have the best audio and mic quality of these three headsets, but we didn’t find it to be particularly easy to use or all that comfortable, which is a shame, given its premium price and superb sound quality.By Latest in Tech
Every gamer needs a quality and top-performing gaming headset. And in our Logitech G635 review, you’ll get in-depth details and information about one of the best headphones around.By Rtings
Decent for gaming. The G635 is one of the better sounding gaming headsets we’ve reviewed so far. The G HUB app is also amazing and offers tons of customization options with lots of controls. You won’t get any delay thanks to their wired connection, and they are comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions. However, be sure to take them off from time to time to let your ears cool off, as they trap quite a bit of heat inside the ear cups over time. Their microphone is also a bit bright when comparing it to other gaming headphones.By Total Gaming Addicts
Overall the G635 is a brilliant headset. It’s comfortable and sounds superb. I would, however, have preferred a slightly better microphone, as compared to various mics I use frequently it is the only part that doesn’t feel up to the standard of the rest of the headset. The compatibility with multiple devices and conservative design makes the Logitech G635 a serious contender if you are looking for one headset to meet all of your listening needs.By Cleb’s Tech
For $200 the Logitech G635 does perform rather well, It does lack in bass a bit and for people with a bigger melon, it isn’t all that comfortable. But for the rest of you looking for a decent RGB gaming headset, I can recommend the Logitech G635!
