Logitech Zone Wireless

The Logitech Zone Wireless is really for trying to get some work done, answer phone calls, and also listen to music and just kind of relax. You get the headset, that USB receiver, and also this carrying bag. This headset is currently retailing for around a hundred and seventy dollars.

Jabra Evolve 75 MS Stereo

The Jabra Evolve 75 MS stereo is currently retailing for a higher price of around three hundred dollars. These headsets are one of the older model headsets that are used for office purposes especially not for gaming or for listening to music.

DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY:

On the left ear cup, you will find three buttons on the main part which is going to be volume up and your volume down buttons and also there is a button in between those two allow you to play and pause your music but also to answer and hang up on your phone calls. Also in this ear cup, you will find the microphone and this microphone does also have one button and that will be able to control the mute. You can also turn that on and off or when you do rotate the microphone up halfway it will go ahead and automatically mute and then when you rotate it down it will unmute.

Something convenient about the microphone is that it does rotate all the way forward and all the way backward. So maybe you have like a hairstyle that’s blocking up your left ear then you can easily just rotate the whole headset and then just move the microphone and you can use it on your right side if you need to. Then on the outer rim you will find the power button that also doubles as the Bluetooth pairing button, then also you find a button to control the active noise cancellation, and you also find a micro USB port. I definitely would have liked to see a USB-C port on this instead of micro USB.

Jabra Evolve 75 MS Stereo

This headset is very adjustable. It’s got a microphone boom there and these do fold in for packing. The charging ports are right there on the side of the earcup. On the side, there’s two dots and one dot which are all buttons. The two dots on the up is for volume up, the one-dot below is for volume down, and the round button in the middle is to play-pause. The round button on the other side of the earcup is to mute the microphone.

COMFORT:

As far as adjusting these to your head you can basically slide each side up and down. Then also to the earpads themselves are pretty cushy and comfortable. These aren’t like ear cups where they’re gonna take up your entire ear inside of the ear cup, these basically just kind of sit on your ears.

I would say that these are incredibly comfortable to wear. They’re really lightweight like they just really feel like kind of like cotton sitting on your head. It has really not much weight to them so if you were to have to use this for long sitting sessions, I think these will be just fine for most people. I did have these on for like an hour and a half at times and my ears did not get sweaty, so they do a good job at managing that.

The earpads feel a little nice, it’s nice and soft and squishy gear. It fits pretty well for me. They’re not super big but they do feel like they block a lot of noise. This headset also tells you how much battery life is left that’s a little strange. When I wore these on for hours, I felt my ears getting hot and sweaty which I don’t like in these.

The Logitech Zone Wireless isn’t trying to compete with the traditional noise-canceling headphones that you want to take on the plane and stuff with you. These are aimed to work in open workspaces. So maybe you’re at a job that has one big open room with a lot of people working in it with a bunch of desks and things like that which are more popular these days. These are able to allow you to listen to music but also to get some work done because it will allow you to take phone calls and do other things.

When I wear these on, that moment itself they have some really good passive noise cancellation and that does a decent job. Also, when you turn these on and you turn the active noise cancellation on, it does get better. They’ll be wirelessly charging and so Logitech does not include a wireless charging pad with these but you can easily find one online if you don’t already have one. This is great because just helps declutter your workspace. So you don’t have to have a wire going into your headphones and your headphones just laying somewhere on your desk. 

You can use this headset just by itself but if you want even more control you can download the Logitech Tune app. This app will allow you to get more settings that you can customize including an equalizer and so you can add the bass if you want, you can have a preset just for your podcasts and other things. But you can really just get in there and customize it to how you exactly like to hear your sound.

You can also control something called sidetone in the app to hear yourself while you’re speaking. So sometimes when you put a headset on and you can’t hear yourself you may find yourself talking too loud or talking too soft. But with this, you’ll be able to adjust to being able to hear yourself so you’re not finding yourself in any one of those situations.

This headset does work with Bluetooth and you can connect up to two different devices via Bluetooth at the same time. But it also comes with a USB receiver so you can plug that into your computer and still connect to something else via Bluetooth as well. If you are wondering you cannot connect to Bluetooth devices and one device via the receiver at the same time for a total of three and you’re going to do two Bluetooth or one Bluetooth and one USB receiver.

While testing out this I did connect to the Mac via the USB receiver and then I connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth and I didn’t have any issues kind of switching between different audio sources while playing the video on the Mac and then switching to my phone to play music. But I did run into a little bit of an issue, when I was using the One Plus 7 Pro which is in the Android phone and then also I was using the Mac as well as while it was connected to Bluetooth and it didn’t allow me to easily switch between the two.

It actually kept defaulting to the Mac so that just didn’t work at all. I think most people will just use the USB receiver with their computer, so they probably not gonna run into this issue. But I can’t say that maybe some phones you will have some issues if you are only trying to use just Bluetooth.

The Jabra Evolve 75 headset comes with a boom microphone. The box claims that these are engineered to free your concentration, the best wireless headset for concentration in the open office, world-class speakers and HD voice, superior ANC and integrated busy light, dual Bluetooth connectivity, it has comfortable leather feel ear cushions, compatible with all leading UC platforms and up to 18 hours of battery life.

Supposedly it is a wireless stereo office headset and it comes with a little Bluetooth dongle. Inside the box, we have got a started guide, it’s got some information in the booklet, warning and declaration booklet in like three different languages, and a pretty nice case. Inside the case, you gonna get your USB transceiver which is nice and it’s really tiny. It’s kind of a nice little grip there on the case to keep the USB transceiver. I love this case actually, you can put that USB transceiver in there and not lose it. There is also a little pouch with the USB cable for charging in this case and your headset itself.

It’s got the three-way switch it’s got off and it’s got Bluetooth. So for tablets, you put it in the Bluetooth mode so it’s got three 3-way switches here. One mode for tablets that already have Bluetooth, another mode if you’re using the little USB dongle, and another mode for off you don’t use the battery.

BATTERY:

As far as the battery life Logitech estimates that you can get around 14 hours when you have active noise cancellation on and you’re either listening to music or you’re just using this to be able to talk on a phone call. One neat trick that this headset can do is that it can be wirelessly charged. So if you do have a Qi wireless charging pad you can simply just place these on them and you can lead them to unfold it or you can fold up the headset and you just place them on.

Jabra claims 18 hours of battery life and it takes around 2 hours to get it fully charged. It comes with the USB cable for charging, it doesn’t come with the AC adapter component of it so you need to have to plug it into something that provides power for charging like a laptop or a dime or a converter to plug it in to charge.

MICROPHONE:

It does sound good and I did a few phone calls and the people on the other end said I sounded loud and clear. So I’m definitely happy with this. I think this is gonna be great for people especially with the noise cancellation that you do have with this microphone. If you are working in open workspaces it would do a good job at blocking out that background noise. I find that the audio quality of this headset it’s on par with other voice-only headsets that are just used for taking a phone call. I find the voice quality coming from the microphone is on par with all the other good things that this headset can do.

The microphone quality on these headsets is pretty good. These do cancel out the background noise pretty well. I tested out the microphone quality on these by the phone calls and the person on the other end said I sounded good but there was some hum coming behind while talking. But still, these really work pretty well with the sidetone.

WHICH TO BUY?

In my opinion, You should buy the Logitech Zone Wireless because it works better, the microphone quality is better, the comfort level is better, and the battery life is better for the overall price than the Jabra 75 MS Stereo.
