It is one of the favorite parties of the little ones, but also of the grown-ups. Either because of the adrenaline rush that produces a fright — with various shudders and screams — or because of the inevitable fit of laughter that follows, the fact is that, as we approach October 31, we look for terrifying inspiration. The reason for its rise? Halloween allows us to bring out our best hooligan version and dress up the house to joke around with friends. Below are some of the scary ways to decorate your house on Halloween.
If you are looking for a simple but effective way to decorate the walls, dare with this pack of 48 pieces with bat shapes in four different sizes, and accompany them with a black and very gothic crown. The result will be terrifying … and cute!
Have you seen how witches these pumpkins with their beak hats are? In fact, these are the perfect lanterns to light indoors and outdoors during the creepy time of the year.
THE BOILER OF CHURCHES
Trick or Treating? Buy several decorative cauldrons and fill them with trinkets and snacks. In this way, taking a walk around the house will become the sweetest experience, and your guests will love the idea!
If you want to feel like you’re in a chapter of The Walking Dead, feel free to place this zombie popping out of the ground in the middle of the garden. You will have a lot of fun, and your neighbors will get more than a scare …
GIVE ME A HAND
Or two … Although seeing such a mask, the first thing you will do is run. Of course, it will be dead (and never better said) next to the zombie that we show you in the previous photo. Let the party begin!
But … who is buried there? Don’t worry, they are fake tombstones! And also, they don’t weigh anything because they are made of foam. Ideal for decorating the living room or hall along with the rest of the ideas that you will see below.
Would you like to bet on a more classic Halloween decoration? You have it very easy: get several pumpkins, empty them inside, create different expressions in the crusts using a knife, and finally, add LED candles inside.
Draw a bat-shaped template, and using it as a guide, cut out one piece per guest from black felt. Place it between the plates so that the wings stick out. For the ghosts, take whole dried leaves and apply two coats of white spray paint. With a black marker, draw the eyes and the mouth.
With a black marker and a good hand, transform a white luminous garland into a succession of disembodied heads. Of course, if you want to be up to date, this year the Mexican skulls will be taken. Decorated in bright colors and with a certain psychedelic air, they will be spectacular on the window or the door of the house.
THERE IS A SPIDER IN THE PUMPKIN!
With a pencil, draw a cobweb pattern only on the top half of the pumpkin. Use this guide to glue gold beads – paillettes are still in! – or black, if you prefer a more realistic finish. Use a specific glue for beads, which is transparent when dry. The final detail? The spider that waits for its prey …
Your zombies will eat them because they are meringue. Beat 6 egg whites until stiff with a pinch of salt and the juice of half a lemon. Add 300 g of sugar little by little, continuing to beat. Place a parchment paper on a baking sheet, and with a pastry bag, shape the bones. Work each one of them at once, without interruptions: start by drawing a V at the end, go straight and finish with another V. Bake for 1 hour at 100º.
A BLOODY BAR FURNITURE
Reserve an area of the living room for adults to take a break and, incidentally, a drink. Place helium balloons on the table or the drink trolley, cover them with black tulle, and secure them with a matching string. A red drink, such as sangria, will look spectacular in a glass decanter with a tap. And, to taste it, resort to black and white straws, they will match the balloons! You’ll find pump jugs and straws at Aire de Fiesta.
CAKE IN COMPANY
Pour over it melted chocolate, irregularly to achieve the droplets, and put it in the fridge to solidify. Make meringue ghosts and add chocolate pearls as eyes and mouths. Place them on Oreo cookies and decorate. Accompany with a painted pumpkin.
Make long cookies, or buy them ready-made if you’re short on time. Line a bowl with parchment paper. Melt white chocolate and dip 2/3 of each cookie in it. Put them in the pan and put them in the fridge until they harden. Draw the face with dark chocolate.
PHOBIAS IN THE FIREPLACE
Insects and bats cause shudders. If you want to recreate its terrifying power, cover a painting or mirror with black tulle, and sew a spider web with a black cord. Add a plastic spider and the look will be even scarier. Cut out bat shapes from black construction paper and glue them to the wall.
To make this Halloween decoration for the toilet you only need black cardboard and scissors. Cut out the shape of the monster you want, lift the top of the cistern and glue it on with tape. Your intruder is ready to intimidate in the “all bran” moment and in the easiest way.
MOMMY! THERE IS AMAN IN THE KITCHEN CUPBOARD
Our favorite! The head inside the bottle is a hoot to give your mother a good scare. You can make your own photos by following these steps or by downloading the photo already taken from the link itself. You will also need a large jar and water dyed green, yellow, or whatever color you want. Put the laminated photo inside the jar and that’s it! You already have a new roommate.
This homemade Halloween garland is very easy and very cool to make. A perfect craft for those cold and rainy afternoons. To make the bats you will have to paint the polystyrene balls with black paint, glue the wings, previously cut out of cardboard, and the eyes. In the case of ghosts, you just have to join the ball with the paper or fabric you have at home with a pin, glue the eyes, and hang all the figures on a string.
THE KILLER’S TRAIL
Possibly the easiest of all. To make this bloodstained towel you need…. Well, that’s a towel and blood, the thing doesn’t have much mystery. Fake blood does not usually stain so you can wash the towel and like new. The important thing is the sustain that anyone who enters the bathroom will take. You can also try it with the shower curtain or by leaving a trail in the bathtub.
THE WITCH’S HIDEOUT
If you want your house to be invaded by real witches (we are not referring to your mother-in-law) with these witch legs you will achieve it. To create this original effect, you will need colored stockings, old black shoes, and cardboard if you want to simulate the leg. You can place them as you see in the photos or in the way that occurs to you.
