INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G Pro Wireless

The G Pro Wireless is very popular in the gaming mouse. This is an ambidextrous mouse with some convenient and useful features. The design and comfort of this mouse are also suited to many people.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed

When we compare the Logitech G305 with the G Pro Wireless, the G305 will really impress you. It’s definitely a viable option for competitive use. We can say that this mouse is one of the best in the cheapest wireless mouse.

DESIGN & COMFORT:

Logitech G Pro Wireless

The G Pro Wireless does have that ambidextrous design, I really liked the design. This one has those little mock buttons on the side, the little cover. If you’re left-handed or right-handed, they give you those extra switches or those extra covers that you’re gonna put on whichever side. You don’t feel up at all, it’s nice and flush right across whichever way you’re using the mouse.

As far as the weight and shape, coming in at 80 grams I mean this mouse is just lightweight and it feels fantastic. This mouse is incredibly solid. This mouse may look a bit small in larger hands. It’s really more or less your grip style and your play style and that’s where the G Pro Wireless really shines in my opinion. I like palm grip or claw grip more than a fingertip and the G Pro Wireless has some nice length to it but it does feel a little slender on the sides. I love the shape of it but I do wish it was just a few millimeters out on the side.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed

The mouse is a medium-sized Mouse at 4.6 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches tall which is almost identical to the G Pro Wireless. However, that doesn’t mean it that’s comfortable to hold as a cheaper Wireless because it’s not. The arch of the mouse is towards the rear rather than the center because of that, it’s extremely difficult to palm or fingertip grip for long periods. The only thing I could do comfortably for extended periods was a claw grip. So, if you have smaller hands, this won’t be much of a problem. This mouse might actually be perfect for you. If your hands are medium or large-sized, you’ll probably use a claw grip.

At 97 grams, this is not the lightest mouse in the world but it’s also not the heaviest. It’s easy to start moving if you need a flick and easy to stop in its place rather than having your hand dragged like with heavier mice. So, this mouse is totally fine for competitive use. It’s all plastic like pretty much any other Mouse out there but high-quality plastic, so it feels nice to touch. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart or break anytime soon but only time will tell.

FEATURES & PERFORMANCE:

Logitech G Pro Wireless

As far as in the box, you’re gonna get your mouse, your USB cable, your wireless adapter, and then some extra side buttons. Now, the G Pro Wireless is using a Logitech Hero sensor. The Hero sensor here is spot-on just like the majority of all the other ones.

Now, connect it to your PC is pretty cool here. You have your dongle and a little adapter, just throw that dongle right in there, take your USB cable that’s gonna plug into the back of that adapter and with that USB cable being quite lengthy, you can route it to wherever you want on your desk.

Another great thing on top of all, if your battery is getting drained middle of the game and it’s about to run out, you can plug the mouse right into the dongle. The cable has nice teeth shaped thing right on the front. So, whatever you’re clicking in front of your mouse, it does not budge at all. It will be there very nicely and tight and the USB cable is a little bit thick, so I recommend you putting it into a bungee. It’s not bad by any means, so you can still play with it.

As far as gaming, the G Pro Wireless is fantastic. It glides beautifully across the mousepad. Now, as far as the mouse gliding fantastic like that, you do have five feet underneath the mouse; three on the bottom, one on the middle around the sensor, and then one long feet on the front. Also, underneath the mouse, you have your power button and then your DPI button, there is no DPI button on the top. Now, you do get DPI indicator lights right on the top middle, when the RGB is off you don’t see it right there but when you’re selecting your DPI, you can see which one you’re selecting, and then it just disappears.

The left and right buttons are quick and precise. The back button feels a little bit mushier than the front one. Overall, as far as the button presses and clicks, they are precise. If there’s one complaint that I would personally like, I’d like the scroll wheel just to be recessed a pinch more, it’s just my personal preference. This mouse is so quick and fast and just that flicking type of fast gameplay Mouse, so it may take some time to get used to it.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed

At only $50, the Logitech G305 is Logitech’s entry-level wireless gaming mouse and even though, it’s two and a half times cheaper than the G Pro Wireless. It has similar characteristics and performance to the point where I feel most people would probably choose this over the G Pro Wireless because most people don’t want to spend 130 dollars on a mouse unless you absolutely need the best of the best.

It uses Logitech’s Hero optical sensor which like the G Pro Wireless claims to have zero smoothings, filtering, or acceleration and it does live up to those claims. Response times are identical to any of the wired mice used to as well as G Pro Wireless which uses the improved Hero 16K sensor. In my experience, the performance of both the mouse felt the same. Regardless, every flick I’ve ever made with this mouse is predictable. Moving exactly where I would expect the mouse to move with zero acceleration and smoothing.

The buttons themselves are pretty nice to push as well. At first, I thought they were a little bit harder to press than G Pro Wireless but it was not the case after some time. Regardless like the G Pro Wireless, the G305 is easy to press but not too easy to where you’re accidentally clicking them all the time.

One thing I don’t like as much though is the DPI switcher which is right under the scroll wheel. My issue with it is that sometimes when I’m using the scroll wheel or even just adjusting the way I hold the mouse, I tap it by accident and move to the next DPI mode. This can easily be remedied by just deleting the DPI button on Logitech G Hub software, so it’s not really an issue. There are different colors to indicate which DPI setting you’re on though if you ever need to change it.

Ever since I got rid of the cable, I can never go back, especially since Logitech’s lightspeed technology has identical input lag to a wired mouse, so there’s really no point. You could take off the rear cover to find the much-appreciated slot for the USB wireless receiver. If you’re traveling, you don’t want to lose that receiver.

BATTERY:

Logitech G Pro Wireless

You get 48 hours of battery life with the RGB on or 60 hours with the RGB off and the only RGB is that logo on the back of the mouse where your hands gonna be covering. So, just leave it off and get yourself 60 hours worth out of this mouse. On top of that great battery life, this mouse charge is incredibly quick. It’s really nice that you can plug it in and still use it and charge it at the same time.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed

In the rear of the Mouse is a spot for the single AA battery which is included. The battery is supposed to last about 250 hours before needing to be replaced, so you can use this Mouse for about eight hours a day for 31 days before needing to replace the battery. Being that this has an AA battery may be a deal-breaker for some people and I loved the idea of having the built-in rechargeable battery like G Pro Wireless, however, I also like the G305 battery configuration because there is no need to charge the mouse constantly.

WHICH TO BUY?

If you’re into that FPS or fast-paced gameplay, you’re gonna love the G Pro Wireless mouse. If you are looking for a good wireless mouse that won’t break the bank, the G305 is a great option whether you’re a competitive player trying to go pro, a casual player, or just using this for your home or office PC. It feels nice, has good weight, has an ultra-precise sensor and, has a long-lasting battery life for a relatively affordable price.

In my opinion, the G305 may be an alternative for the G Pro Wireless mouse but it cannot be like the G Pro Wireless. If you have a tight budget or don’t want to spend more money on the mouse, then the G305 will be good to buy.
