Logitech G603 Lightspeed

This mouse will be perfect for the people who want a very simple and decent looking gaming mouse without any RGB and all crazy design. Also, this mouse has some basic gaming features with some customizations.

This G Pro Wireless mouse is popular in the mouse world which also has a wired version. Also, this mouse has some features which are not given in any of the Logitech mice.

DESIGN & COMFORT:

The mouse has good quality and looks pretty good. It has a nice two-tone finish. I was really surprised at how simple it was, no extra bells and whistles. It’s a solid Mouse that looks just like their G703 and I do like the black and dark sleek color choice here.

The front gray plate slides off and this is where the two included AA batteries go plus you get to keep the wireless USB receiver in here, so you don’t lose it if you’re traveling.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

The G Pro is a wireless mouse with 80 grams, it is middle-sized. The G Pro also comes with a plastic ladder that reduces the weight so much, the walls are ultra-thin with one millimeter but is surprisingly strong. The G Pro can handle any type of grip but is ideally for fingertip and claw unless your hand is 14 centimeters plus.

The mouse is actually all matte plastic. When you use the G Pro Wireless, it’s all plastic so you don’t suffer the same penalties as having broken rubber texture. It’s very light compared to other Mouse, it’s about 80 grams which is very light. So, it gets less exhausting to move around but I didn’t really find it amounts to be that exhausting but lighter mouse typically makes it easier for use over long periods of time.

I think this mouse is kind of small, so a lot of people who are used to bigger Mouse might not like it or if you have bigger hands, you probably can use it but this mouse is kind of superior to a lot of Mouse’s on the market because it’s wireless without any lag. I think Logitech prove to everybody in the world that its wireless technology is that good.

FEATURES & PERFORMANCE:

Logitech G603 Lightspeed

The mouse comes with a USB cable extender, the mouse itself, AA batteries, and the USB dongle. The switches are Omron and clicky and Omron also makes very nice switches. This mouse has four buttons. It has two buttons on the side and there are two standard buttons on top. The ones on the side are mapped to forward and back out of the box. Although they are very easy to remap in the Logitech G Hub software. Although that is not the only thing you can control in the G-hub, you can also change the DPI presets for the on the fly DPI adjustable button on the top of the mouse. Sadly, there is no RGB, this could be a letdown for some people.

Although the sensor is Logitech’s hero sensor. It is a very good sensor. This mouse does have Bluetooth. With the receiver, you can use this over a wireless connection or via Bluetooth which is built-in, and on the bottom of the mouse is how you connect and pair. The button on the right will light up blue for Bluetooth or white for the wireless receiver connection, then on the left side work is interesting. You see off, low, and high; low is just for standard usage like browsing the internet, it reports at 8 milliseconds with a 125 Hertz report rates, and high that’s what you want for gaming, it reports at 1,000 Hertz with a 1 millisecond response time. So, if you’re gaming, keep this mouse on the high setting.

It does seem kind of like too much battery life, that’s actually because their new sensor inside this mouse which also helps to greatly improve the battery life. This new sensor was such a big deal to Logitech, so we had this new and improved Hero sensor in the G603 Lightspeed Mouse and upgrade over the previous PicsArt sensors. It is the next-generation sensor for Logitech that can go up to 12000 DPI. On the top of the mouse, you do have a DPI button for switching it up on the fly and you can have five different DPI sensitivity levels set within the software and then represented by different colored lights on the top of the mouse as well.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

This is an ambidextrous mouse. There’s actually two more buttons over the sides other than the right and left buttons. You can swap if you can put two buttons on the opposite side if you’re left-handed instead of right-handed. You can put two more buttons on the opposite like using having buttons on both sides. So, you can have seven buttons which could be useful if you’re playing games and you wanted access to abilities faster and easier through these buttons.

It has the best sensor in the market. The G Pro is as good or even better than wired mice. The Hero sensor has a faster response time versus wired mice because of the cheaper Logitech technology. The sensor has no delay, it is real-time. Another thing that I tested a lot it was the quick ratio of the mouse. Sometimes, in some mice, you need to press too much to get your click out, so you can shoot in a game. It does become my main mouse because of not only Wireless and has the best sensor in the market but also because of the click.

I find the feet really nice and they glide smoothly. I never really had a problem with them. Then, we have an on and off switch on the bottom which turns it on and off, so you can save battery life. Then on the bottom, we have a DPI button that you can change. I like that it’s placed on the bottom of the mouse, I find that a much better improvement in design as well.

Most of the things are in Logitech’s software. It actually tells you how many approximate hours right on the top left and it has onboard memory which is also nice. So, you can take the mouse to any computer and remember your settings and play it, with the onboard memory you’ll have the settings saved which are nice. We can have all the buttons that we can customize as well as you have different DPI. So, on the mouse, you can change the DPI. I actually like how it gets different profiles as well if you want to change it. If there are multiple people using it, you could use different profiles.

The next thing we have in the software is the lighting system. So you can turn the RGB on the logo on or off to save the battery. They have color cycles, brightness, and then rate. You also have the battery department where you can find your percentage of battery life left in the mouse. Also, you have some customized settings to save your battery life.

BATTERY:

The fact that it uses AA batteries is really annoying, not only because you can’t just recharge it but also because it’s not very good for the environment. Replacing batteries is actually really easy to do it though, the whole top of the mouse comes off with magnets. Thereby you can replace your battery very easily.

On the low setting, Logitech claims an 18-month battery life. In the high setting, you’re supposed to be getting 500 hours of non-stop gaming which is still a really long time and that’s great for a wireless mouse.

Logitech G Pro Wireless

The good thing is the battery life is like over 60 hours. So, the battery can last a week easily unless you play video games like more than 10 hours a day then you’re not gonna make it for a whole week.

WHICH TO BUY?

The G603 also has a little bit similar design as the G Pro Wireless mouse. It works good but you can’t expect it to be lightweight because it uses a removable battery but it gives lightweight as much as possible. In the G Pro Wireless mouse, Logitech raised the bar to a level that is really hard to achieve when it comes to creating new technology. A wireless 80 gram Mouse with 36 hours of battery life that turns off when you’re not using the mice and then preserves a battery while using, if you care about gaming and getting better at gaming and if you want to hit the shots that no one else can hit and if you want to practice for yourself without having pain in your wrist, it is the mouse to go for.

In my opinion, both the mouse are good to buy but it depends on you that which one you want to buy. If you want more features and a lightweight design then G Pro Wireless will be good for you but you have to pay $40 more than the G603 mouse. If you are fine with the weight of G603, then this will be a better choice and also you can save $40.
