Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Jaybird Tarah

The Jaybird Tarah is the predecessor of the Jaybird Tarah Pro. These are basically one of the sports earphones available in the market at a budget-friendly price with Bluetooth 5.0. These earphones are currently retailing for around fifty dollars.

Beats Powerbeats 3

The Beats Powerbeats 3 comes with the Apple W1 headphone chip, and class 1 Bluetooth. These earphones are retailing for different prices depending on their colors. These are one of the bass-heavy earphones from Beats.

DESIGN:

Jaybird Tarah

The Tarah and the Tarah pro model look practically the same. The Tarah has a rubberized cable but they’re also tangle-free. But once I tried the braided cord on the Tarah pro for the first time, I realized that the Tarah’s somewhat snags because of its very grippy texture, very grippy cord that is. It’s more noticeable with those with running jackets or simply anything with a collar.

Beats Powerbeats 3

You can buy these if you want it for workouts which are great. I’ve been using this for about four months I mainly only use it for workouts. It’s great for workouts because it has the hooks right there, that goes over your ears and it never once slipped out unless I’m really like moving my head harshly or something which I never do anyway. You can also like kind of bend the hook part right there to make it really fit your ear. So definitely it never comes off which is really nice.

It’s definitely a great option if you’re considering this for working out. You just need to put the cable behind your head and put them on which is very simple. The cable is a micro USB type B if this is too short and you might just have another one lying around and you can use that and it works the same. It plugs in right there on the left earbud it hooks up under there. It really has a great design.

COMFORT:

Jaybird Tarah

As for comfort and fit if we look at the Tarah it is completely different and it makes me wonder if they’ll ever phase out the X line will there ever be an X5. The Tarah goes with one-piece construction and at first, they look bulkier and I was terrified as I might have fit issues again. But honestly, the one-piece construction made these on the best fitting sport earphones that I’ve personally used.

Beats Powerbeats 3

It also comes with an extra pair of ear tips. They have different sizes of two medium-sized ear tips, a small one and a big one that’s very nice. My ear is kind of like a different size so it doesn’t really go with a bigger one so the little small ones fit me perfectly. These are quite comfortable too along with the fit.

FEATURES:

Jaybird Tarah

These earphones are waterproof I’ve drenched these, they’re working from my quick test. But I will not suggest you drop them in water or using them during rain at any cost. These sounds transferred from the cable rubbing or bouncing against my clothing or into my ears and going into my ears. While running these with music going on, to be fair all three earphones in rural practice in rural testing it wasn’t a deal-breaker. You hear much less but again just a be transparent the Tarah did transfer a little bit more audio with the friction that was going on.

The control and the battery pack has moved back and with a speed cinch, adjustable cable shortener that’s on the back here as well removes a lot of the slack and prevents the controller and battery pack from bouncing around as much. Some don’t like that speed sense mentioning that creates a longer cable in the back but I didn’t find any issues with it myself.

These use a proprietary dongle for charging which I’m never fond of because what if I lose them, or what if I forget them at home. With the lack of a micro USB port, I think what Jaybird was doing was trying to create a sealed system rather than using flaps and covers to protect it from water and rain.

As far as Bluetooth technology, for those who want to future-proof themselves the Tarah’s have Bluetooth 5.0 which is great for wireless range and battery efficiency. For videos first with Android users, these earphones had zero syncing issues on both YouTube and Netflix. For that with Apple however the iPhone also, the Tarah didn’t have any issues with YouTube or Netflix.

Beats Powerbeats 3

Inside the box, it’s not just the headphones but there’s also a nice little case like a rubber case with the Beat logo on it, some usual books, Beats sticker, we have different sized ear tips, and the charging cable. It’s a very nice high-quality boxing. There are different colors available black, white, and like black and red.

On the left side, you have them on and off button right there, and you have the little LED light when you turn it on it shows us white. If you have these already hooked it up with your device before, it connects very easily and when you have it on your ears. You can hear a little sound to let you know that it’s connected that’s very nice. It connects automatically after you set up for the first time.

On the left side, you have a little inline control using it you can raise the volume and you can lower the volume, and the middle one is to play-pause. But you can’t skip ahead in a playlist which is kind of a downside here because sometimes I would like to skip a song but I can’t because there’s no way we gonna have to keep your phone.

There was a negative that I found from these headphones which is this case right here. Although it’s nice quality, you need to just press from the side right there and it kind of opens up there is no lock to close them. They can’t really fit that’s a problem, and it’s too small. It doesn’t feel so good and is kind of weird when you place the earbuds in the case. There is much chance if they get damaged.

Jaybird Tarah

BATTERY AND ITS LIFE:

Jaybird Tarah

These earphones use a Propreitory dongle for charging these. These get attached to the charging dongle pretty easily. These earphones offers fast charging 10 minutes of charging will give around one hour of playback. The Tarah claims six hours of playback and as per my test, the result was six hours and one minute at 50% volume levels from full battery to die.

Beats Powerbeats 3

The battery life is about 12 hours I hardly have to recharge this unless I hear the little sound the fact that tells me that the battery is low and so during the night I just charge it. 12 hours obviously feels a lot longer, depending on if you work out every day for an hour that’s like 12 days until you have to recharge again so that’s really nice.

SOUND:

Jaybird Tarah

As far as the audio performance, the Tarah is good as all-rounders and comparable with others in its price range. The fact that the Jaybird app is very good at tuning these earphones and makes the Tarah the more budgeted pair shine with responsive tweets to your liking. The Tarah’s was noticeably not as loud wide or expansive in its audio as the X4 and the Tarah Pro but they sound good at their price range.

Beats Powerbeats 3

As far as the quality of the sound goes they sound great. You can really hear the bass when you put any music and so that feels nice. I never really had any issues in terms of sound but these have heavy bass as these are Beats products. It really sounds great with bass-heavy kinds of music or songs. A person who doesn’t like heavy bass may not like this.

Beats Powerbeats 3

WHICH ONE IS BETTER FOR THE PRICE?

In my opinion, the Jaybird Tarah is better for the price because it has a lower price range but still, it sounds great and has a good comfort level for sports activity. If you can offer more price than the Beats Powerbeats 3 is also better for the price because it has better battery life and W1 chip which will give you great connectivity.
