Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G560

The Logitech G560 speakers will be a bass lover’s dream because I was blown away by these 240-watt speakers. So if you’re a bass lover stay tuned you will enjoy the sound quality out of these.

Razer Nommo Chroma

The Razer Nommo Chroma speakers are the Razors kind of like first push out putting out a desktop speaker solution. They’ve released a soundbar in the past but never speakers like this. The Nommo Chroma is there as a kind of middle model here at 150 dollars because it has the chroma integration there in the baseline.

DESIGN:

Logitech G560

On the right and left speaker, you’re gonna find RGB lighting. This is Logitech’s light sync technology and this takes different portions of your screen and it makes the colors show up on the speakers. So that’s kind of good, you can kind of see and visualize in-game with what’s going on outside of the game, around you. I don’t really use that too much I really like to just stay with the breathing or I actually like the audio visualizer which just pops and changes color depending on the music or what I’m doing in-game. It’s nice because if you have a lot of Logitech products, you can actually have your whole system be flashing different colors and at the same time and it just looks very beautiful.

On the right speaker, you can actually control the volume which I really like and you can also cycle through the different color modes whether that’s breathing or audio visualizer and things like that. They look very modern, I like the inside where the lights are on the RGB and I also have a little RGB light on the back as well which shoots out onto the wall. So, you get a full range of lighting with these. I do wish that the subwoofer did light up just to have like your whole setup just be lighting up and at your ground, at your feet.

Razer Nommo Chroma

These definitely look unique, they’re not the traditional desktop speakers that you’ve probably seen in the past. I really like its kind of cylinder look to it. I think it’s sleek and minimal, and it’s really gonna fit in with a lot of gaming setups. Not only that but they’re nice and compact, they’re not like really bulky or anything that could take up much space at all. The speakers themselves are made from custom woven glass fiber, the drivers here are 3 inches a, piece.

On the backside of the right speaker, that’s where mostly everything is gonna be. You have your aux in for plugging in, a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack to connect to your PC via that or your laptop or your phone whatever in your power port, and also a headphone jack if you want to plug in headphones directly into the speakers.

Then on the Left speaker, there is just the port for connecting these two to each other and the cable connecting both the speakers is like 9 feet long I believe. So they are definitely long enough to fit both speakers on your desk. Also, on the back of the right speaker where your headphone jack is once you plug in a pair of headphones, it’ll automatically switch to that source so you’re not having both audio Adam your speakers and your headphone.

FEATURES:

Logitech G560

For the setup, you just plug in the right and left speaker into the subwoofer which then sits on the ground. This subwoofer is straight-up amazing and this is where all the bass comes from. The subwoofer points to the ground, that’s right so you’re gonna get a lot of rumbling, a lot of shaking during movies or gaming, or even just music listening. I mean these things just Rumble the heck out of your house, it’s really insane.

Another thing that I really like about these speakers is that they can connect through Bluetooth as well not just USB not just by aux 3.5 millimeter jack but by Bluetooth. So, if you don’t hook up a phone, an iPad, a MacBook, you can do that and cycle through it with ease which I really love. So, it just gives you a ton of flexibility, it gives your system a ton of flexibility.

Razer Nommo Chroma

Even though Razer is a gaming company, these aren’t really advertised just for gamers, they’re for watching TV and movies, listening to music as well as gaming. One thing that’s really good about that is right here on the base of the right speaker. You have a built-in deck so when they’re on your desk, they are the controls available at an arm’s reach. You’ll see integrated here is a base knob as well as a volume knob. Just by pressing the volume knob down, that’s what’s going to turn the speakers on and off and a cool little integration with that RGB chroma light underneath. The light ring is also gonna act like a volume indicator, so depending on how loud or low your volume is that will be displayed with a little light ring.

I thought the Bass Knob is a cool integration because especially with music bass is gonna be a key component to a lot of people. If you’re listening to hip-hop, or you’re a bass head, and you listen to live electronic music whatever, the bass is a huge part of the music. So, that they had that here is pretty good, you can turn that up and down. And this does kind of tie into their sort of synapse software with their audio adjustments so, they have a ton of different EQ.

These are just native stereo speakers and with the space knob what it does is, it kind of self tunes your EQ. So, if you’re turning it up or down, it’s not gonna complete round everything else out or if you’re listening to it, it’s not gonna do some really muddy. But that was nice because it just adjusts automatically and it’s gonna make everything else kind of proportionate to your music. So the highs, the lows, everything it’s gonna equal out to keep your bass the best sound possible, so that was a nice addition.

As far as Chroma for the lighting effects, there are four different ones you have breathing which will pulse two different colors or you can have it set to randomize, you have your spectrum cycling that’s gonna go through all 16.8 of the million colors, there’s static if you want to keep it really simple just showing one color, and there’s the famous wave which is gonna go and the kind of rainbow wave effect from left to right or right to left you can change that up.

They’re nice and stylish, they’re made well, the integrated DAC is really nice for a quick and easy volume control right at your fingertips, and if you like chroma lighting it’s here but also if you like you can have it like a volume indicator when you’re turning it up and down.

SOUND QUALITY:

Logitech G560

If you’re a bass lover and you love rap, even rock, even like classical music sounds good on these. In the actual Logitech software, you can change the EQ, you can change the lighting, and things like that. So all in all these are just an amazing pair of headphones that I think most people if you have a setup, if you’re looking for a great set of speakers even just for movie watching, to gaming, to music, it just nails everything and you can kind of make it what you want with the equalizer as well.

This does have Dolby Digital but I found it to be just okay, doesn’t really enhance the sound so much where it just makes it that much more mind-blowing. But I did like that it gives a little bit more of a 3D sound, with those I feel like it’s kind of bloated and it’s very software-oriented so you’re not gonna get the full Dolby Digital experience like you would if you had separate speakers like a 7 speaker setup. But for a desktop setup, you cannot go wrong with this 3 speaker setup, these are amazing.

Razer Nommo Chroma

Since it’s our stereo, a big thing is gonna be how they sound when it comes to directional audio. I play a lot of Pub G, I play some Overwatch, Battlefield every now and then but obviously those games are gonna rely on some directional audio and for essentially $150 these are incredible. I was able to hear things really clearly from whether it’s gunshots, or explosions in the distance, to footsteps all that stuff they got down pat here.

With the volume, they definitely get decently loud when it’s all the way at its highest and there was not a lot of distortion at all. In terms of that base adjustment, obviously, if you’re gonna be playing an intense competitive match of Battlegrounds, I would turn the bass down a bit you can get more of the treble and stuff, to hear footsteps and gunshots in the distance. But if you got the music blaring turn that base up, it’ll be bumping for sure, or if you just like a little bit exaggerating explosions in the games, then sure turn the bass up it’s gonna sound good either way because it’s not muddy, it’s not distorted.

Logitech G560

WHICH ONE IS WORTH BUYING?

If you’re in the market for some multimedia speakers for your desktop, for your laptop, for your phone, then the Logitech G560 is worth buying than the Razer Nommo Chroma because the Logitech G560 sounds much better with the subwoofer that comes with it.
